CTET Exam Centre 2025: State wise Test City Codes

Candidates can choose a total of four CTET exam cities for the exam while filling the application form. The CBSE takes into account the first preference of exam centre city chosen by the candidates in the online application form. However, in case of unavailability the first preference, the CBSE allots any exam centre.

If you reach the CTET exam centre after the test begins, you will not be allowed to appear for the exam. No candidate is allowed to enter the CTET exam centre after the exam begins. It may be noted here that the CTET exam begins exactly at the time mentioned in candidates' admit cards. Candidates should reach their centres before the reporting time to avoid any hassles.

Candidates must reach the CTET exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards to avoid any delay. Candidates have to report to the examination centre 120 minutes before the start of the CTET examination. Candidates must bring an original photo ID proof, a copy, and two passport-size photographs to the exam center, in addition to the CTET call letter or hall ticket.

The CTET admit card 2026 will be released around two days before the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards using the application number and date of birth. The CTET pre-admit card or city intimation slip will be released before the admit card to inform candidates about the allotted exam city.

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the exam centres: Stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/scanner, Cardboard etc. Mobile phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health band etc. Watch/Wrist watch Wallet, goggles, handbags, Gold/artificial ornaments etc.

Yes, you need to carry the original photo-ID proof along with CTET admit card to the exam centre. Without the photo ID proof, you will not be allowed to enter the centre. Candidates can carry any of the following photo ID proof to the CTET exam centre:

• PAN Card 
• Voter ID Card 
• Passport
• Driving License
• Aadhaar Card

Candidates need to carry these documents to the CTET exam centre-

• CTET admit card
• ID proof- PAN card or Voter ID card or Passport or Driving License or Aadhaar Card
• Two photographs

Candidates who forget to carry the CTET admit card to the exam centre are not allowed to take the exam. The CTET admit card is a proof that the candidate had registered for the exam.

CTET admit card is a mandatory document to be carried by candidates to their allotted exam centre on the day of the exam. Candidates not carrying their admit card on exam day will not be allowed to give the paper. Candidates need to carry a valid photo ID card as well on the day of the examination. Valid Photo IDs that can be carried to the CTET exam centre are given below.

• Passport
• Driving License

If candidates have forgotten the CTET roll number, they need to check the admit card for the same. Candidates can retrieve their roll numbers using the process given below-

• Visit the CTET website.
• Click on admit card link.
• Enter application number, date of birth and security pin.
• Check for your roll number.
• Download the PDF.

CTET exam is conducted in two shifts. The Shift 1 is from 9.30 am to 12:00 noon and shift 2 is from 2.30-5:00 pm. Each shift is of 2 hours 30 minutes duration. The exam is conducted in two shifts of each CTET exam date. Candidates giving the CTET exam need to appear at the allotted exam centre at the prescribed shift timing.

Candidates must carry the following things and documents to the CTET exam centre on the day of examination:

• CTET admit card: Candidates need to carry their admit card to the centres. Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to appear in exam.
• Photo ID proof: Candidates must carry an original photo ID proof such as PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card.
• Photo: Candidates need to carry passport size photograph (the same uploaded on the application form). 
• Stationary: Candidates need to carry two good-quality ball-point pens of blue or black ink
• Other items such as transparent water bottle, face masks and hand sanitizer must also be carried to the exam centre.

The CTET pre-admit card 2026 will be released around 10 days before the exam. Candidates need to download the pre-admit card or CTET city intimation slip 2026 using the application number, date of birth and security pin. The CTET pre-admit card is like an exam city intimation slip that contains only the name of allotted exam city. The name and address of exam centre were intimated through the CTET admit card 2026.

Yes, you can carry a transparent water bottle to the CTET exam centre. Candidates are allowed to carry only transparent water bottles. No other kind of water bottles will be permitted inside the exam centres.
