IBPS Clerk exam is conducted to select candidates for the posts of Clerks in the public sector banks in India. IBPS Clerk result is announced in the following stages:

IBPS Clerk Prelims Result

The preliminary exam for IBPS Clerk comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the cut off marks. On the basis of IBPS Clerk result prelims, an adequate number of candidates in each category are called for the mains exam. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not counted for the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Mains Result

IBPS Clerk Mains Result PDF includes the roll numbers and names of the selected candidates. Marks obtained in the mains exam are considered for final selection. Candidates selected through the exam are recruited to the post of Clerks in any of the 11 public sector banks across the country. In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice.

The provisional allotment of candidates is subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria of participating banks including proficiency in Local Language of the State and identity verification. Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to the General Category, have been treated at par with a General category candidate for drawing up the merit list. Such a candidate has not been adjusted against a reserved post.

The mains exam comprised four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks for the test are 200. The marks of the mains exam are considered for the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Final Result

The score obtained in the mains exam is considered for the final selection. The maximum and minimum scores of IBPS Clerk mains exam or final allotment are calculated out of 100 marks. The total weighted scores of the mains exam are calculated by aggregating the scores of all sections.
