SSC GD Result Declaration Criteria
SSC GD result is declared by the Staff Selection Commission after each stage of the exam is over.
- SSC GD Exam Result: Candidates whose SSC GD applications are shortlisted are called to appear for the SSC GD computer-based exam. Candidates qualifying the SSC GD CBE exam have to appear for the next stage of the exam.
- SSC GD Physical Result: Next, all qualifying candidates have to appear for the physical efficiency test and/or physical standard test. The SSC GD physical result of PET/ PST is declared by the CRPF. Candidates qualifying PET/PST have to appear for the final stage of the exam.
- SSC GD DME/DV & Final Result: The final stage of SSC GD includes a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV) of candidates. In DME, candidates are tested to ensure that they are medically fit to join as a Constable or Rifleman in Indian forces. It may be noted that document verification to determine the SSC GD eligibility of candidates is also done at this stage. The SSC GD final result is declared by the Commission after the DME/ DV round.
The Review Medical Exam (RME) is conducted only for candidates who produce any medical certificate as evidence of the possibility of an error of judgment in the decision of the medical officer/board who had examined them in DME. However, the official website informs, “Such Medical Certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the Medical Officer from Government District Hospital or above along with registration no. given by MCI/ State Medical Council, to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected and declared unfit for service by CAPF Medical Board.”

The SSC GD Constable exam carries a total of 160 marks. The SSC GD exam (CBE) comprises a total of 80 questions of 2 marks each. Candidates are awarded +2 marks for each correct answer in the SSC GD Constable exam. Candidates get to know the correct answers from the official SSC GD answer key. However, only correct answers are not counted for SSC GD results. There is a negative marking for each incorrect answer marked by candidate.

SSC GD Merit List
The SSC GD merit list is prepared in each stage of the exam. Have a look:
- Male and female candidates are shortlisted state/ area-wise and category-wise based on their merit in the SSC GD exam (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable) for appearing in the PST/ PET. The number of candidates shortlisted for PST/ PET based on their merit in the online exam will be about eight times of the number of vacancies.
- Male and female candidates who qualify in the PST/ PET will be shortlisted state/ area-wise and category-wise based on their merit in the SSC GD online exam (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable) for appearing in the DME/ DV. The number of candidates shortlisted for the DME/ DV based on their merit in the online exam will be about two times of the number of vacancies.
- Candidates who are qualified in the PST/ PET and DV/ Medical exam will be considered for inclusion in the SSC GD final merit list.
- The allotment of CAPFs or organizations to finally selected candidates will be made based on the merit in the online exam (including NCC bonus marks)-cum-preference of forces submitted by candidates in the online application form.
