SSC GD Exam Centre 2026: The Staff Selection Commission will soon release SSC GD city intimation slip. The direct link to check city slip will be provided on this page. To check the city slip, candidates need to login with the required credentials. SSC GD exam city intimation slip only mentions the allotted test cities. The details related to the address of the SSC GD 2026 exam centres are mentioned in the admit card. 

The names of the SSC GD test cities 2026 were mentioned in the notification. Candidates were required to select the exam cities while filling out the SSC GD application form. The examination authority allots exam centres as per availability and choice. Candidates get to know the allotted roll number, exam date and exam city for the SSC GD Constable exam through the city intimation slip. SSC GD Constable Exam is conducted online in multiple shifts. SSC GD PET/PST Centre

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) is conducted by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Generally, the CRPF conducts the SSC GD PET/PST exam and the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) at their exam centres. The exam centres for PET/ PST and DME are very few and the candidates need to arrange for the commutation to the exam centre. The SSC GD exam physical test dates will be announced soon. Candidates will be allotted the SSC GD physical test centres by the CRPF. The name and address of the allotted SSC GD exam centre for PET/ PST is mentioned on the SSC GD Physical admit card. The link to download SSC GD hall ticket is made available four days before the exam. Candidates can download it by logging with the required credentials. SSC GD admit card mentions the details related to the exam. Candidates need to take the printout of the same and carry it along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. A: 

Candidates get to know the details of the allotted SSC GD exam centre through their individual admit cards. The SSC GD admit card contains the name and address of the allotted exam centre along with the centre code, reporting time and shift time. The GD Constable exam centres are allotted to candidates as per their choice filled in the online application form.

Q:   What is SSC GD syllabus?
A: 

SSC GD syllabus comprises the topics from which questions are asked in the exam. The SSC GD Constable exam is conducted online and comprises 80 questions from:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • English/Hindi

Candidates must internalize the topics given in the syllabus and prepare each topic separately. Candidates should practice questions based on the topics given in the SSC GD Constable syllabus. The more they practice, the better they can perform in the Computer-Based Exam (CBE).

A: 

The SSC GD Constable exam is conducted online as the Computer-Based Examination. However, the PET and PST are held offline as these include performing race and fulfilling the physical eligibility.

Q:   In how many stages is SSC GD exam held?
A: 

SSC GD exam is held in three stages -

  • Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME)

Candidates need to clear all the three stages to get shortlisted for appointment under the SSC GD recruitment drive.

Q:   Can I get my SSC GD exam centre changed after the issue of admit card?
A: 

No, SSC GD Constable exam centre once allotted cannot be changed later. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) does not consider any request for the change of SSC GD test centre after the issue of admit card. Candidates need to appear for the SSC GD exam at the exam centre mentioned on their respective admit cards. 

Q:   When will the SSC GD 2026 exam be conducted?
A: 

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC GD 2026 exam in four phases. The exam will start from April 27 and will end on May 30. The exam schedule is provided below:

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conductes the SSC GD exam every year for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other forces. The difficulty level of the SSC GD exam is usually of easy to moderate or of moderate level. The SSC GD question paper of the 2024 session was of easy to moderate difficulty level. SSC GD is one of the most sought after exam when it comes to Constable General Duty or Rifleman General Duty jobs in armed forces of India. The questions asked in SSC GD exam are of Class 10 level.
