Amazing campus life but the faculty section needs to improve.
Placements: 48% of students got placement from our branch, the highest package is about 48 LPA, and the lowest is around 6 LPA. The average is between 16–20 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Amazon, and many more. Roughly 67% of students got their internships in the same companies as mentioned above.
Infrastructure: NSUT holds one of the best infrastructures I’ve ever seen. It has separate blocks for different branches with well-maintained labs and classrooms, decent Wi-Fi connectivity, and a well-stocked library is also present. Hostels are pretty good with proper mess-canteen and medical support, and different sports grounds are available for students.
Faculty: I’d say most of the teachers are fully qualified for their teaching positions, and they are helpful and knowledgeable too, with good teaching quality. This course curriculum is absolutely relevant. Students can participate in different extracurricular activities to enhance their skills to be industry-ready, you can easily pass the exams by studying 2 weeks before the exams. Last year, the passing percentage was around 84%.
Other: I chose this course because it’s a core branch which opens different types of job opportunities in the future. I would wish the faculty to improve themselves a little bit, although it’s good, it can be even better. NSUT hosts one of the biggest fests among universities like Moksha, and it offers different types of scholarships to students.

It is a great college.
Placements: About 80-85% of the students are placed. The highest went up to 75 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. The average package was around 14-17 LPA according to the branch. Top recruiters are Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, etc. I don't know much about internships. The top role offered is software engineer.
Infrastructure: There are well-air-conditioned labs, air-conditioned classrooms mainly for first years, and Wi-Fi is everywhere. The library has enough books and resources. The quality of food is also good in the canteen and mess. Just the hostel rooms look a bit old. Above average.
Faculty: Teachers are of an average type only. They are qualified but not very helpful. The curriculum is relevant to the industry. Exam difficulty depends on the teacher setting the exam. Sometimes too difficult, sometimes easy to do. Almost everything is good academically.
Other: I have a B.Tech in ECE because I love both hardware and software technology. So it is in my interest after all. I would like it if the college could improve the professors and provide leniency for attendance. It would be good. Fests and extracurricular activities are really great. Something is going on throughout the whole year, each and every month. Seniors are also friendly and good. Recommended.

The college has strong placements, good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and vibrant fests.
Placements: Placements at NSUT are among the best in Delhi. CSE, IT, and related branches have top offers from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Adobe, with high average packages, often in double-digit LPA. Core branches like Mechanical and Civil get decent placements, though many students shift to IT roles. The active T&P cell, strong alumni support, and abundant internships ensure excellent career opportunities.
Infrastructure: NSUT's IT branch has modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and strong Wi-Fi connectivity. The campus is spacious, with libraries, sports facilities, and a good research environment. The hostels are decent, with Wi-Fi, mess, and basic amenities, though cleanliness and food quality can vary.
Faculty: The faculty members at NSUT are experienced, with many holding PhDs and industry exposure. The teaching quality is good, though some classes feel theory-heavy. The curriculum is updated, focusing on core subjects, electives, and coding skills. Exams are moderate, neither too easy nor too tough. The testing concepts are well.
Other: Apart from academics and placements, NSUT is famous for its vibrant campus life. The university hosts Moksha (cultural fest) and Innovision (technical fest), both among the biggest in Delhi, featuring concerts, competitions, and star nights. Numerous clubs, including coding, robotics, dance, drama, and music, keep students engaged. Sports facilities and intra-college events also add to the lively atmosphere.

Satisfying campus and surroundings. Good placements and above average infrastructure.
Placements: 65-70% of students get placements. It is great for the core sector. Internships are limited to upper branches like CS, ECE, or MAC. Recruiters are like Mahindra, Tata, etc. The highest package is 24 LPA while the average is 7 LPA - 8 LPA only but you can get placed easily if you work hard here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are great. There is a decent library. Wi-Fi is average, and can be better. There is only one main canteen where you can have many options. Sports facilities are there but you have to find your friends to play because crowd is not much active here. Food quality is not great but can be taken on good side.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are great and helpful. Course curriculum is relevant. Academics are on the tougher side. You have to spend a lot of time with academics. The curriculum is relevant. If you follow everything that is done in classroom, you can get a decent package.
Other: Not much events or fests are conducted. Crowd is average. Extracurricular activities are not conducted.

Do not expect too much from Mechanical Engineering.
Placements: Around 63% students are placed last year. The highest package offered is 26 LPA, the average package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Maruti Suzuki, ONGC, and DRDO in core. Many students get internship offers from DRDO, ONGC, and Maruti Suzuki. Roles offered are Product Management and Product Manager.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good on the side, but the hostels are not good. You can use Wi-Fi only for study purposes. The Library is a silent place that is less crowded. Student activity center where you can play tennis, go to the gym, and have fun with friends. Hostel is just for living. Do not expect too much from hostel food and hostel conditions.
Faculty: Faculty are teaching in English due to more private schools. Faculty are student friendly, they help you if you get Stuck Somewhere and motivate you. Some are good, some are bad, some are very rude. Overall, the faculty is good, and the Syllabus is not too outdated and not too modern.

On Cutoffs
Q:   What is the cutoff of NSIT Delhi?
A:

NSIT cutoff for BTech course is based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JAC Delhi Counselling 2024. Analysing the NSIT cutoff 2024, the last round closing ranks for the BTech courses ranged between 2473 and 18334 for the General category students. Tabulated below is the cutoff for NSIT Delhi based on JEE Main scores for Last Round Seat Allotment for General AI category:

Q:   Can I get into NSIT with 70% in class 12th?
A:

It is difficult but not impossible to get into NSIT with a 70% in class 12.

When it comes to admissions, NSIT has very high JEE Main rank cut-offs, particularly for popular branches like computer engineering. The JEE Main cut-off rank for students in the General category is typically less than 2000.You must have a very high JEE Main exam score in order to receive such a high rank. Typically, a mere 70% on the 12th board is insufficient.
On the other hand, reserved categories like OBC, SC, and ST have comparatively lower cut-off ranks.
Thus, if you do well in JEE Main and fall into a reserved category, you can be admitted to NSIT with a minimum score of 60–65% in your 12th board exams.

NSUT FAQs

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at NSIT with 75 percentile in JEE?
A:

Getting into NSIT's B.Tech programme with a just 75 percentile JEE Main score is extremely challenging.
Popular fields like electronics and computer Science typically have closing ranks for the General category that are less than 2000.
This usually means to a score above 200 or a 99+ percentile on the JEE Main.Even for the reserved categories (OBC, SC, and ST), the cutoffs fall below 10,000 and are in the range of 95+ percentile.
The NSIT computer Science JEE Main closing percentile in 2022 was:
SC - 98.23, ST - 96.32, General - 99.91, OBC - 99.21

Therefore, there is very little to no chance of getting into NSIT with a rank of less than 30,000 or a 75 percentile.
This percentile score means that the engineering colleges you could potentially attend are much less popular.

Q:   Which exam is accepted by NSIT for admission in MBA?
A:

CAT or MAT score/ rank is accepted for admission in MBA courses offered at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) (formerly known as NSIT).

Candidates having valid CAT/ MAT score will be shortlisted for the personal interview (PI). If the candidate gets selected in the merit list based on their performance in personal interview (PI) will have to get their documents verified and fee paid for final locking their seat in MBA course.

Q:   How are B.Tech placements at NSIT?
A:

As per the 2023 NIRF report, 826 BTech and 151 M.Tech students were placed in the 2022 placements.

During NSIT placements in 2022, the median package offered to BTech and M.Tech students was INR 16 LPA and INR 14 LPA, respectively.Companies like Microsoft, Tower Research, DE Shaw, and others offer the highest salary packages, which range from 40 to 45 LPA.Every year, about 90% of B.Tech students are placed. The placement rates are constantly increased.Renowned corporations such as Amazon, Samsung, Intel, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, and so on hire a lot of people from NSIT.The majority of placements are in core engineering specialties like computer science, electronics, and instrumentation.
The Delhi-NCR area is a convenient location for NSIT in terms of placements. Opportunities are available to students at corporate offices in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and other locations.
