Panjab University, popularly known as PUCHD, was founded in 1882 as the University of the Panjab Lahore (in Pakistan now). Panjab University Admission Process and Important Dates 2026
Panjab University Chandigarh admission 2026 is entrance-based for a majority of its courses. PUCHD entrance exams are PU CET, PU UGLAW, PU LLB Entrance Exam, and PU MET. Students are required to go through the university-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission. The Panjab University Chandigarh admission process is conducted via online registrations.
Candidates must fill out the PUCHD application form before the last date. After a successful application submission, candidates must appear for the entrance exam of the respective course, they opted for. Panjab Univeresity MBA admissions are entirely entrance-based. For admission to MBA course at UBS and UIAMS, candidates must have a valid score of either CAT or PU MET exams, respectively. - Scholarships for students with disabilities: Under this scheme, 2,500 scholarships are offered to eligible differently-abled students for UG and PG courses

Panjab University BPharm seat allotment is based on the rank obtained by candidates in the PU CET UG. The seat intake for the BPharm programme offered at Panjab University is 54.
Panjab University offers two-year MBA programmes across four specialisations via the University Business School and across seven specialisations via the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences. - UIAMS: Any relevant UG or PG degree with 50% aggregate, such as BE/ BTech/ BCA/ AMIE/ UG degree in Pharmacy/ MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BDS/ BPharma/ BPT/ BSc (Nursing)/ BVoc (Hospital Mgmt.).
Admission for this course is made on the basis of merit determined by scores of the aspirants in the Management Entrance Test (MET) conducted by PU, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Yes, admission to the Bachelor of Engineering programmes at PU is based on candidates' performance in JEE Main exam followed by counselling conducted by JAC Chandigarh. BE is available at five PU-affiliated colleges which are part of JAC Chandigarh counselling. The Panjab University CAT Cutoff 2024 for the General category students under the All India quota was 85 percentile overall and 85 sectional for admission to the MBA in Human Resource course. For admission to the Master of Business Administration programme, the cutoff was the same, at 85 percentile overall and 50 sectional.
