What is PUBDET?
PUBDET full form is Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test. It is an offline test conducted with pen and paper. Students who want to study at the university can apply for up to two subjects through PUBDET application form. Presidency University is very popular in West Bengal. PUBDET Eligibility 2027
PUBDET eligibility criteria are defined in line with Presidency University guidelines for PG courses. Given below are the main criteria that candidates have to meet to be eligible for PUBDET entrance exam:
Nationality: Citizens of India.
PUBDET Age Limit: PUBDET 2027 has no minimum or maximum age limit. Any Indian citizen who qualifies for academic qualifications can apply for PUBDET exam.
Academic Qualification for PUBDET 2027: Candidates need to clear higher secondary examination (XII) conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam. Students must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects. It should include English language and exclude Environmental Science. Best four recognized subjects aggregate will be calculated.

PUBDET Eligibility for Different Subjects
The subject-wise eligibility criteria for PUBDET examination are provided below.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Only candidates who passed in 2026 or later are eligible.

Candidates must have studied at least five recognised subjects, each carrying 100 or more marks, including English. Environmental Science will not be considered for eligibility.

The aggregate percentage will be calculated using the best four recognised subjects in the Class 12 examination, regardless of the subjects chosen for admission.

Candidates with International A-Level or International Baccalaureate (IB) qualifications must have at least three IGCSE subjects and three A-Level subjects, with English studied at either level.
