Social Work Course Admission is both merit-based and entrance exam-based. Social Work course can be pursued at different education levels like under-graduation after Class 12, post-graduation after bachelor’s degree and doctoral degree courses after post-graduation.

Social Work course eligibility criteria is different for different degree levels. Students can take admission in bachelor of Social Work course after completing their Class 12 with a minimum of 45% to 50% marks in any stream from a recognized university of India.

LATEST UPDATES:

  • NTA has introduced changes in CUET PG 2025 exam. The exam duration has been reduced to 90 minutes from 105 minutes initially. New topics and changes has been added to MCA syllabus, application fees, and exam city choices are increased to four.
  • The CUET PG 2025 exam will be scheduled between March 13, 2025, and April 1, 2025.
  • The CUET UG registration 2025 is open for admission to UG courses, and the last date to register is Mar 22, 2025.
  • The CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively between May 8 and Jun 1, 2025.

Social Work Course Admission Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for pursuing Social Work courses depends on the course level at which they are being pursued. Colleges may admit students on merit basis or through entrance exam scores. 

A student who has passed class 12th from a recognized board can pursue a Social Work course at the certificate, diploma, and UG levels.

Social Work Admission Procedure 2025

Social Work admission process will differ from college to college, but here is a general overview of the steps that a student will have to follow to get admitted to Social Work courses:

  • Eligibility: Complete class 12 from a recognized board with at least a 45% to 50% aggregate. Check other eligibility and make sure you meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Students wishing to pursue Social Work postgraduate degrees must complete their undergraduate with at least a 50% aggregate. Students aspiring to a Ph.D Social Work degree must complete their UG and PG from recognized institutes.
