APLAWCET/ AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 - The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET for admission to 5-year and 3-year LLB courses and LLM courses, respectively. These exams are held once a year. Candidates applying for AP LAWCET or AP PGLCET must meet the eligibility criteria for their respective exams. The eligibility criteria outline the minimum requirements related to educational qualifications, age limits for applying to these exams, and category-wise minimum marks required in the qualifying exam.

AP LAWCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for the AP LAWCET 2026 exam are primarily based on the qualifications and marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying exams. The criteria also include the age limit as one of the factors related to candidates’ eligibility for the AP LAWCET exam. APLAWCET eligibility criteria 2026 for 5-year LLB 

Students seeking admission to five-year LLB courses through AP LAWCET 2026 can check the following AP LAWCET 2026 eligibility criteria: 

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must have passed their two-year intermediate examination in a (10+2) education format from any board/institution recognised by a state board or national boards of education.
  • They must have passed (10+2) with a minimum of 45%.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST category must have a 40% score in their (10+2) exams to take the AP LAWCET 2026.

  • Candidates should have passed their graduation exam in any discipline in (10+2+3) format. 
  • They must have scored a minimum of 45% in their graduation exams. 
  • If candidates have less than 45% marks in their (10+2) exams, they must have an additional graduation or postgraduate degree with a minimum of 45%.
  • They must have Indian citizenship.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category require a minimum of 40% to take the AP LAWCET exam for admission to a 3-year LLB course. 

AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2026

AP PGLCET eligibility criteria describe the qualifications and marks that candidates need to take the AP PGLCET exam 2026 for admission to the LLM courses. Candidates belonging to different categories need different marks to appear in the Andhra Pradesh PGLCET. However, the qualification requirements for candidates belonging to all categories are the same.

APPGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for LLM

Candidates seeking admission to the LLM course through the AP PGLCET can check the AP PGLCET eligibility criteria 2026 below: 

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree in law. 
  • They must have one of the two undergraduate law degrees: 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB. 
  • Candidates pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LLB can also apply for AP PGLCET 2026. However, they have passed their graduation at the time of AP PGLCET counselling .

AP LAWCET/ APPGLCET Category-wise Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates also need to consider the following important points related to Andhra Pradesh LAWCET/ AP PGLCET eligibility criteria in 2026: 

  • Candidates from the SC/ST categories and other reserved classes who do not belong to Andhra Pradesh will be considered among all India open-category candidates (OC candidates). 
  • Students with ITI as their basic qualification are not allowed to apply for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET.
  • All applicants should be of Indian domicile to be eligible for APLAWCET 2026 and APPGLCET 2026.
  • Candidates who completed their schooling in an open school education system are not eligible for the APLAWCET and APPGLCET.
