What is AMU Entrance Exam?
Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam is the entrance test conducted by the university for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by it. AMU conducts two types of entrance tests to offer admission to candidates in different courses:
- Admission Test wherein exams are conducted at the university level
- Departmental Test wherein exams are conducted by the respective departments
The entrance exam is conducted in pen-paper based test mode for all courses. The candidates qualifying the entrance exam as well as fulfiling the eligibility criteria will be offered final admission.

The candidates seeking admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered through AMU entrance exam should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

Q: What is the admission process of AMU entrance exam?
- Online application – Candidates fill and submit the application form of AMU entrance exam in online mode at the official website of amucontrollerexams.com. The candidates also need to pay the application fee as per their courses.
- Issuing of admit card – AMU will issue admit cards to candidates who registered and submitted the application form before the last date successfully. The admit card of AMUEE will mention details about the examination, candidates and the allotted test centre name and location.
- Appearing for the test – Candidates have to appear for the examination at the allotted test centre as per the examination schedule.
- Announcement of results – The University will declare results of AMU entrance exam for each course separately. The results will be available in the form of a merit list of qualified candidates as well as waitlisted candidates.
