Really good infrastructure and a great place for networking, although academics is a little average.
Placements: So around 15-20% of my batch students were placed by sitting in the campus placements, and many others had gotten placed on their own. The placement for Mass Communication and Journalism is very limited to Punjab news publications and 2-3 national publications and also not for any other streams like Advertising, Public Relations, Copywriting, or Travel Journalism even.
Infrastructure: But the infrastructure of CU is amazing and has a lot of places to hang out and is an amazing place to make friends and networking connections. The infrastructure will never disappoint you, whereas you guys have to be a little careful with the guards and the main road.
Faculty: The faculty members were very much educated and qualified at my time, although many have left the college this year due to changes in management and rigid course plans and no scope of improvement. The examinations, on the other hand, target basic knowledge questions about your course and ensure that a student is clear about the basics and gets a complete hold of the same.
Other: The environment is good, with many hygienic places to eat from and a surreal connection with nature. The campus is full of exciting opportunities, and most importantly, a student, apart from its academic depth, gets a lot of exposure if they join clubs and try to get into events. Although the depth doesn’t really support you, a little fun in college life doesn’t harm.

Very good facilities and mentors, and the infrastructure was quite good as well.
Placements: Basically, in our field, there are many opportunities if you are a good candidate. There are multiple students who get placed at once; so, according to me, it's a good way to start. Some of the students are not placed because if you want to get placed, you need to take action and start searching for it, so it will be quite helpful for your future goals.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was quite good and helpful for students. Actually, I have never been in the hostel, so I don’t know, but I have heard from my friends that the food was quite good, and the infrastructure of hostels was tremendous. I have also tried some of the dishes that were amazing, and the canteen has all types of food. Whatever you want to eat, you can easily find it.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were good and helpful mentors who are always there for you no matter what and help you out in every kind of situation that you are facing. The semester exams were okay, not that tough; the thing was pretty clear. If you have attended the classes regularly, then it's not going to be a big deal for you.

Overall, it is a good college experience.
Placements: Atleast half of my batchmates were placed through campus but some prefer self-placements. Many were doing jobs after getting a degree from college. As in B.J.M.C., money was very less. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The lowest wasn't disclosed. Zee News was the top media house. One of my friends is the editor of a big TV channel.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed was awesome in 2019. It was almost 10 Gbps. Labs were quite good. A good number of PCs were available for all the students. Classrooms were large. They had good light, air, and boards. Projectors were available in all the classes. I was living in a hostel. To be honest, we prefer to eat at least 3 days outside as you know about the hostel food. Wednesday morning breakfast is full of protein, and Thursday afternoon lunch is good.
Faculty: Teachers were student-friendly. They were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their fields. I was reserved with the practical work as they focused more on copybook teaching rather than working in the field. Semester exams were the proper test of our knowledge and capacity. Overall, they were good teaching staff members.
Other: I wanted to get the breaking news, so I opted for this course. If they can do more practicals, it will be helpful.

Review of Chandigarh University (CU).
Placements: For our course, students must have skills rather than a degree. If a student has skill, they can apply anywhere and can easily get a job if they outshine form others. Very few students are placed in our course, only the most deserving students get placed by the top news channels, newspapers, and radio stations. Around 20-30% of students get internship from our course in big companies like Zee news.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by this university are very well. Students have separate laboratories for each practical subject and has a good library in each department which has a good variety of books. Classrooms are large and have SMAT class, but do not have air conditioner which creates a big problem during summers. Hostel rooms are well, and the food served is good and healthy. The facilities for other co-curricular activities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and cooperative. They provide good knowledge of theory as well as practical. Students have studied most things online so they have not face such issues with exams as the exam is objective and students are already taught everything that came in the exam. Course do help students make them industry-ready. Exams are normal so students can pass them with little preparation.
Other: I chose this course because this is way different from others and it is very interesting as well. The students who like to explore a lot can go for this course. If practical knowledge is given to each student individually then it will be better. There are a lot of events that are organized by this university almost every month, and students enjoy them a lot. There is a huge crowd on the campus. Competitions and many events are organized for extracurricular activities on regular basis. Scholarships are provided to students while taking admission by giving a scholarships exam.

Placements are good, and I am highly satisfied.
Placements: Companies visit our university, like big brands like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, SAL Labs, Practo, Josh Technologies, PayU Payments, Unisys, DE Shaw, Gemini, John Deer, Cubastion, Deloitte, Sapient, etc. Big MNCs that visit here are Cognizant, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Mindtree, Polaris, IBM, NewGen, Zycus, etc.
Infrastructure: If you get a chance to stay in the hostel for once in your life, then I suggest going for it. It is a life-changing lesson as you go through many good and bad experiences.
Faculty: Faculty members at Chandigarh University are more in number. Programmes under faculty members of electrical engineering provide opportunities for all the students to expand their horizons, both personally and academically. They also help in growing the diverse university culture. Faculty members of engineering continue to expand with an international focus, forming partnerships with universities globally. Faculty members of engineering also undertake important research within their discipline areas. Chandigarh University offers electrical engineering and is committed to giving in-depth, globally acceptable all-around knowledge to students.

Our college has the best infrastructure, along with the best placements.
Placements: CU offers best placements in top media organisations like NDTV Delhi, News18 Chandigarh, My FM Chandigarh. Most of the alumni with whom I was in contact got placed right now. They will be considered as a role model for most of the students right now. Seniors did internships in organisations like Zee News Delhi and Indian Express Chandigarh.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best in this university. Wi-Fi facility is available for 24x7, and all the academic blocks have their own library and a central library. They also have all the books which you need for your academics. Labs have all the equipment according to the course, which provides us with the working experience.
Faculty: The teaching quality at this university is one of the best. All the faculty members are qualified and are experienced in their own respective field. They focus on practical knowledge more than the bookish and provide us with the exposure of how to work in the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was interested in the media industry for a very long time. I saw the advertisements regarding this university. Even one of my friends who was studying there recommended this university for me for the same. I liked it, so I'm joined here. The campus life is the best here, and there are all kinds of students who are from different cultures and societies, so every student respects the culture.

It has good infrastructure and satisfactory facilities along with experienced and smart teachers.
Placements: CU provides almost 100% placements to the students along with exaggeration in TPP for the next 2 years after passing the institute. You cannot expect a high salary package in the field as it is the struggling field. The average salary package offered is 4-6 LPA, which is offered to maximum students. The highest salary package offered till now is 11 LPA from the university in the public relations field for the course. NDTV, Zee News, The Tribune, Times of India and Microsoft are some top recruiters of the college. Every student gets an internship in 6th semester and specialisation in 5th semester. Top roles offered are RJ, VJ, editor, publisher, anchor, reporter, PRO and advertisement manager.
Infrastructure: CU provides every facility required by a student on campus. Food, fruits and everything is available within the campus. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled along with hostel room enabled with LAN Wi-Fi as well. Classrooms are well-maintained and clean. There is a library in every block, along with a big central library. Hostel facility and food are good. Lift is available in boys hostels, and for girls hostel, it is under construction. There is a food corner nearby every block. Medical facilities are available on the campus, and ground for every sport like hockey, cricket and football are available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, experienced as well as young. They know the demand of the changing industry and thus prepare students accordingly. The course curriculum changes every year, according to the need of the industry. Moreover, there are some university oriented subjects for valuable communication, and soft skills are taught additionally for making students confident and prominent.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is a very creative and long-running field. It has various options like RJ, VJ, anchor, reporter, editor, PRO, advertisement manager, social media manager, photographer, cinematographer, vocalist, host, etc. Our college holds Media fest and with CU fest every year, and various other entertainment nights are also celebrated here. The campus has a good crowd, and students are from almost every part of the nation. CU has a lush green and beautiful campus. Our college provides scholarships through CUSAT exam and also provides to weaker sections of the society. There is a department of students' welfare to listen to problems of the students, and it also provides a platform for various other extracurricular activities.
