The Karnataka UGNEET 2025 round-3 option entry has been extended to October 15, 2025, after the MCC extended the dates for the round-3 counselling. Candidates will be able to exercise their choices and download the challan as per the revised dates. The KEA Round-3 option filling window opened on October 7, 2025.

KEA is conducting the UGNEET 2025 process through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. As per a latest notification from KEA, more seats were added this year in the MBBS and BDS colleges in Karnataka. Karnataka UGNEET 2025 counselling process began on July 7, 2025 (8:00 PM) after the declaration of the NEET result 2025. Previously, the registration for the UG NEET counselling was invited through the UGCET 2025 registration process in January 2025. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is conducting the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025 for admission to various MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Unani, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda courses across government and private medical colleges across Karnataka. KEA conducts counselling for 85% state quota and 100% of the private college seats. The MCC will conduct counselling for 15% of All India Quota seats.

Karnataka NEET Counselling Process 2025

The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025 application form filling is the first step to participate in the admission process. However, it is important to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the KEA UGNEET registration form for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. 

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025 must fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by KEA:

  • Candidates must be citizens of India
  • He/she must have qualified for NEET 2025
  • He/she must have filled out the UGCET 2025 application form

Eligibility for Government Seats:

  • He/she must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, he/she must have studied for seven years at a government school located in Karnataka, or
  • He/she must have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, either of the candidate’s parents must have studied for seven years at an institute located in Karnataka, or
  • Candidate and either of his/her parents’ mother tongue is Kannada/Tulu/Kodava. Also, this parent must be a domicile of the state.

The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025 for MBBS admissions will be conducted in four stages, namely Registration, Choice filling, Seat allotment and Reporting. All these stages are equally important for those applying for Karnataka NEET counselling. The Karnataka NEET counselling registration last date was February 18, 2025. Each of these stages has been elaborated below:

KEA Registration Process 2025

To participate in the Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025, a candidate must register for UGCET on the official website of KEA. Follow the steps given below to register:

Step 1: Go to the official website or click on this link 'cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugcet2025'

Step 2: Select ‘UGCET-2025 Online Registration’. Enter details such as the name of the candidate, contact address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc. The application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate.

Step 2: Upload images of a recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and thumb impression (left hand)

Step 3: Pay the registration/counselling fee. The registration fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates can also pay the fee offline by downloading the bank challan.

KEA 2025 Seat Matrix

The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025 Round 1 seat matrix will be released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). As per the revised schedule released by KEA, Bangalore, eligible candidates could make changes to the option entries. Candidates belonging to different categories will be able to download the Karnataka NEET UG seat matrix, which will be released category-wise. KEA will release the seat matrix for NRI quota, Private quota, Government Special category quota, Hyd-Kar quota, and General quota candidates for both MBBS and Dental programmes. Verification of Documents

Verification of documents will be carried out in order of the ranks obtained by the candidates. Hence, all the candidates are advised to confirm the rank range, date, and time of verification before reporting to the centre. Candidates must carry all the documents in original and a self-attested copy to the verification centre.

At the verification centre, candidates will have to register again and provide all the necessary information. At the verification counter, all the original documents will be verified by the officials, and the self-attested copies will be retained. Candidates who complete the verification process successfully will be issued an acknowledgment slip.

Here is a list of documents that one must carry for the purpose of verification at KEA Bangalore: 

  1. Copy of the Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 application form (final copy post submission)
  2. Proof of payment of the counselling fee
  3. NEET 2025 admit card
  4. NEET 2025 result/scorecard
  5. Class 10 & Class 12 mark sheet
  6. Candidate’s study certificate
  7. Valid photo ID proof
  8. Recent passport-sized photograph (two in number)
  9. Caste/caste income certificate (if applicable)
  10. Rural study certificate (if claiming rural quota)
  11. Kannada medium study certificate (if claiming Kannada medium quota)

KEA Secret Key and Choice Filling

Along with the acknowledgment slip, eligible candidates will also be provided with a secret key. This key is mandatory to fill in the choices on the ‘Option-entry portal’. Candidates are advised to keep the secret key to themselves and maintain confidentiality at all times.

There is no limit to the entry of options in Karnataka NEET counselling. Options recorded on the last day of the notified schedule will be frozen and will be considered for allotment of seats. Candidates must note that this is a one-time process only. Candidates who have entered options in the first round will not be allowed to enter options for the second round. However, candidates may make changes to the higher options.

KEA releases a list of the candidates who have been allotted a seat in the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2025. These seat allotment lists will be prepared based on the merit of a candidate and the choices filled by him/her.

Post-Allotment Process

Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 and wish to continue with the same seat need to confirm their choice on the official website of KEA. He/she then has to pay the fee and report to the allocated institute with the admission order.

KEA UGNEET 2025 - Documents Required (NRI and Foreign Nationals)

Here is the list of documents to be submitted by the Foreign Nationals and NRI WARD candidates to register for the exam. 

Documents to be produced in respect of Foreign Nationals (For Medical, Dental, and AYUSH)

Foreign nationals who wish to apply for medical admission via KEA UGNEET need to submit the list of documents mentioned below: 

a) Passport, VISA / Resident VISA of the candidate and parent (Copies)
b) Citizenship of the candidate.

c) Birth certificate and Aadhar Card of the candidate.

d) Candidate's parents’ resident certificate issued by the Embassy of that country, complying with the Income Tax Rules/ any other certificates to establish evidence that they are residents of that country/affidavit on INR 100/- e-stamp paper to that effect.

f) NEET Hall Ticket

Q:   Do I have to register separately for Karnataka NEET counselling and MCC counselling?
A: 

Yes. Candidates who wish to participate in Karnataka NEET counselling will have to register on the KEA website. In addition, it is also mandatory to apply for the UGCET 2025 to participate in the KEA NEET UG counselling process. Those who wish to participate in the AIQ NEET counselling will have to register on the official website of MCC. Online information provided by candidates in the application form for Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 will be treated as correct, and requests for any change will not be entertained by KEA.

Q:   When will the Option entry window for the Karnataka UGNEET open?
A: 

Karnataka NEET 2025 open entry window is currently active for the Round-1 counselling. Candidates who have registered for the counselling process either through UGCET 2025 or UGNEET 2025 application window, they can proceed to exercise option from July 17, 2025. The KEA option entry window for each round of counselling will open seperately after the release of Seat matrix for each round of counselling. Candidates can exercise numerous options and fill as many choices as they wish to for college and courses. The candidate who becomes eligible after verification will only be considered for entry of options. Candidates are also advised to enter the options within the stipulated time. Please do not wait till the last date fixed to enter the options.

Q:   When will I be able to edit the Options entered during One time option Entry for KEA UGNEET counselling?
A: 

In 2025, KEA has facilitated one-time option entry window for the candidates for all the Rounds of counselling. Candidates who exercised the options during the option entry window can edit the choices from July 26 to July 29, 2025 (5:00 PM). This is the final call for the counselling participants to alter/modify/add/delete/change the options entered by them. After the mock allotment result, candidates can assess their chances of getting a seat in the targeted college and course as per the rank secured in NEET UG 2025. Therefore, after July 29, candidate will not get a chance to make further changes and real allotment will be done accordingly.

KEA NEET UG Seat Allotment Result 2025

The KEA NEET UG seat allotment result will be released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The rearrangement of options (modify/delete/re-order) will be available for the participants. The KEA seat allotment result will be published on the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. After the result, candidates will have to be present for the document verification and related events. It will be mandatory to confirm the allotted seat by paying the admission fee. The challan, payment, and admission order download window will be activated.

As many as  33,829 seats and 9,622 seats, respectively, were allotted for MBBS and BDS programmes in the year 2024. Along with the result, KEA also released the Medical and Dental cutoff ranks of the Karnataka NEET UG. The KEA NEET UG merit list carries details of eligible candidates for Karnataka NEET counselling. It is mandatory to upload important documents at the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling portal at the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. After the release of the KEA NEET UG counselling official notification, the first step will be to apply for counselling via the online application form within the stipulated deadline.

Q:   Is it mandatory to register for KEA UGCET?
A: 

Yes, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has made it mandatory from 2025 onwards for the candidates to apply for the UGCET 2025. Candidates who fill out the UGCET 2025 application form, pay the fee, will only be eligible to participate in KEA NEET UG counselling. 

Q:   What is the Karnataka NEET registration fee for reserved category students?
A: 

Karnataka NEET counselling has a provision for the reserved category students. They are required to pay INR 500 as a counselling fee during the registration process. This application fee less than the fee paid by the General category candidates. 

Q:   Will KEA open the UGNEET registration again after UGCET registration?
A: 

Yes. KEA has reopened the registration window for UGNEET counselling. Candidates can apply for the Karnataka UGNEET registration 2025 from July 7, 2025 till July 17, 2025. The application deadline has been opened for those candidates who did not apply through the UGCET 2025. It is mandatory to register for the KEA NEET 2025 counselling to be eligible to apply for the UG Medical, Dental, and AYUSH courses.
