IIT Tirupati Celebrates 4th and 5th Convocation with Address by Dharmendra Pradhan

IIT Tirupati Celebrates 4th and 5th Convocation

Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, delivered a virtual address at the 4th and 5th convocation ceremonies of IIT Tirupati, extending his congratulations to the graduates. He also tweeted, "Congratulations and best wishes to all the students of the two batches who have graduated today. I am confident that students of IIT Tirupati will transform into wealth creators and also make vital contributions towards fulfilment of the goal of Viksit Bharat." 

During his speech at the event, he expressed his belief that the students of the institution are poised to become wealth creators, significantly contributing to the realization of a Developed India (Viksit Bharat). He praised the institute's emphasis on innovation and interdisciplinary research, highlighting its potential to act as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation. This, he noted, would harness the power of the youth (Yuva Shakti) for the global good and the service of humanity.

Centre of Excellence at IIT Tirupati 

Additionally, he inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at IIT Tirupati, a collaborative effort between SIEMENS, Wipro, and the institute. This CoE is dedicated to "Smart Manufacturing and EV Technologies," featuring seven state-of-the-art laboratories focusing on areas such as smart manufacturing, EV manufacturing, and smart grid technology.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati established in 2015, is an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The academic program was launched in August 2015 by admitting students in the B.Tech programme in the fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
