No, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. These are the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the JMI exam centre. Jamia Millia Islamia University will release JMI entrance exam admit card 2026 from April 17. The admit card is released a week before the exam dates, so registered students appearing for the entrance examination can make the necessary travel and accommodation arrangements. Only registered candidates who submit their JMI Entrance Exam application form will get JMI admit card online. Once released, candidates can download hall ticket PDF at admission.jmi.ac.in.

The steps to download the JMI Entrance Exam admit card are below.

As per official prospectus, candidates can download JMI admit card through admission.jmi.ac.in; jmicoe.in & jmi.ac.in.
Click on the applicant login link under University Admissions
Enter your JMI login 2026 details, including Username/ email ID, password and captcha code.
The admit card will appear on the screen. Click on Download Admit Card.
Check all the details and download the document.

Given below are some instructions that a candidate must follow.

The ticket should have a self-attested coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. Without the photograph, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the entrance exam.
The JMI admit card is useful for only one shift of exam.
No late entries will be allowed.
If you are found practising any unfair means during exam, you will be disqualified.
No electronic items are allowed in the examination hall.
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the scheduled time.
No written or print material like books/ notepads/ registers/ magazines will be allowed in the exam hall.

Note - A candidate's default second city choice is Delhi. If the number of applicants is either 49 or less for a programme, JMI will conduct the entrance test for that course in Delhi or any other cities.
