CSIR NET Application Form 2025 OUT: December Registration Last Date (Oct 27 Extended), Correction Window & More

The CSIR NET 2025 Registration window was opened for the December session along with the release of the notification on September 25. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CSIR NET Application Form 2025 for the Dec session on the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in. The CSIR NET Online Form is released in an online mode. Before applying for the CSIR-UGC NET examination, candidates are advised to check the CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria as mentioned in this article. Candidates can fill CSIR NET Online Form 2025 as per the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Register for CSIR NET 2025

• Visit the official website of the exam - csirnet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the link available for filling out the application form
• Click on the 'New Registration' button
• Download the CSIR NET information brochure and read the instructions on the page carefully
• Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page and click on the 'Click Here to Proceed' button. On clicking the button, the CSIR NET Registration Form will open on the screen
• Fill in all the given details asked in the registration form

• Choose a password 
• Choose a security question and enter the security answer
• Enter the security pin shown on the screen
• Click on Submit 
• Verify the details entered and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page
• Click on the Final Submit button

Step 2: Fill CSIR UGC NET Application Form

• Enter the security code shown on the screen
• Click on Submit
• Verify the details filled and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page

Step 3: Upload scanned photo and signature

Step 4: Pay CSIR UGC NET application fee

Once the fee is successfully paid, a confirmation page will be generated. Candidates need to print at least three copies of the confirmation page and retain them for future reference. 

The CSIR NET Application Correction Window will be activated for December session on the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in. It will be activated by the NTA to make corrections in the CSIR NET Application Form for the December session from October 30 to November 1, 2025. Candidates who want to make corrections, if any, in the CSIR NET application form by following the steps mentioned below:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of the exam
• Step 2: Click on the application form correction tab at the bottom of the page
• Step 3: Log in to the registered account using the application number and password
• Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and click on the ‘I Agree’ checkbox
• Step 5: Make the required changes in the application form
• Step 6: Click on the Submit button
• Step 7: Verify the entered details carefully
• Step 8: Click on the checkboxes under the ‘Parameters checklist to be verified’ header
• Step 9: Click on the checkbox for the declaration
• Step 10: Click on the Final Submit button
• Step 11: Take a printout of the revised confirmation page

Note: Since CSIR NET application form correction is a one-time facility, no candidate will be allowed to make corrections to the application form under any circumstances after the facility closes. Therefore, candidates are advised to make corrections to the application form carefully.

The CSIR NET 2025 December session application link is active until October 24, 2025. The application correction dates are October 27 to 29, 2025.

• Click on the CSIR NET application form button
• Click on the 'Forgot Application Number' link
• Enter your name, father's name, mother's name and date of birth
• Enter the security pin shown on the screen
• Click on the 'Get Application Number' button

How to Recover CSIR NET Application Form Password?

• Click on the CSIR NET Application Form button
• Click on the 'Forgot Password' link
• Choose any one option - security question/answer or verification code sent on mobile or reset link sent via email
• Reset the password

The basic CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria that candidates must fulfil are mentioned below:

CSIR NET Educational Qualification 2025

• Candidates should have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS/BS (four years)/Integrated BS-MS/MSc with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC (50 per cent for SC/ST, Third gender and PwD)

CSIR NET Age Limit 2025

• To apply for CSIR NET JRF, candidates should be a maximum of 28 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable for up to 5 years for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/Females and up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 
• There is no upper age limit to apply for the post of Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor
