SBI PO Admit Card 2025

SBI PO mains call letter is availablele now. The mains admit card is issued to candidates who qualify the prelims exam. The direct link to download the admit card is made available on this page. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging in with their registration number or roll number and date of birth, or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. Without hall ticket, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. 

SBI PO Exam Day Guidelines 

Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines.

  • Candidates must bring the admit card along with their photographs affixed on it and a photocopy of photo identity proof stapled with it
  • Candidates must also bring two additional photographs
  • Candidates must bring one photo-identity proof along with the admit card. The accepted photo identity proofs are PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead /Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead /Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College / University / Aadhar / E-aadhar Card with a photograph / Employee ID in original. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
  • The admit card will not be collected at the exam centre. However, it will be duly authenticated/stamped by the exam officials. Candidates need to retain the call letter (alongwith the authenticated/stamped copy of the ID proof) safely
  • Candidates called for the mains exam need to bring the authenticated prelims admit and ID proof alongwith the mains admit card to the exam centre
  • Candidates must reach the exam centres 15 minutes before the reporting time
  • Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, glue, eraser, ink stamp pad and ballpoint pen with them to the examination hall
  • Any stationery items such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
  • Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, Any watch/wristwatch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed), etc. are not allowed

SBI PO Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2025

SBI PO exam syllabus is similar to any other Bank PO exam. The prelims exam comprises three subjects- Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. The mains exam comprises four subjects. The sections have wide range of topics based on which questions are asked in the exam. Candidates must refer to the previous years question papers to know about the weightage of each topic. SBI PO scores are calculated based on the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority. The marking scheme of SBI PO is given below:

SBI PO Application Process 2025

SBI PO online form was released on June 24, 2025. The last date to fill the registration form is July 14, 2025. SBI PO application process comprises several steps such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, previewing the application form and payment of application fees. Candidates need to complete all these steps successfully or else their applications will be rejected. The application fee can be paid online. SBI PO registration fee is INR 750 for General/EWS/OBC categories. SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from fee payment. Any graduate candidate can apply for SBI PO exam.

SBI PO Notification

SBI PO official notification was released on June 14, 2025. The notification was released to fill up vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers. Selected candidates are entitled to a good salary package with various perks and allowances. The SBI PO notification PDF contains the details related to the exam. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria

SBI PO eligibility is prescribed by SBI. The eligibility criteria are certain parameters in terms of educational qualification, nationality, and age limit. It is important to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam in order to ensure whether candidates are eligible for the exam or not. The age limit prescribed for the exam is between 21 and 30 years. The educational qualification prescribed for the exam is graduation. SBI PO eligibility criteria is given below:

Age Limit: The age limit prescribed for SBI PO exam is 21 and 30 years. Relaxation in age limit is given to unreserved categories.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be graduates of any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the final year/semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.

Number of Attempts: The maximum number of attempts is fixed for each category. Candidates who have used up all the chances are not eligible to apply. Appearing in the prelims exam is not counted as an attempt but appearing in mains exam is counted.

SBI PO Selection Process

SBI PO selection process comprises three stages: Phase I (Preliminary), Phase II (Mains), and Phase III (Psychometric test, Interview, and Group Exercises). All registered candidates are first required to appear for the Phase I prelims exam. On the basis of the marks in the prelims exam, candidates are called for the mains exam. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for Phase III. Candidates 10 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category are shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list. Candidates three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for Phase III from the top of the category-wise merit list.

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) are not added to preparing the final merit list for selection. The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase-II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalised to 100 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase-II and Phase-III. SBI PO Selection is made from the top merit-ranked candidates in each category.

The complete recruitment process of SBI PO is explained below:

Release of Notification: The recruitment process of SBI PO begins with the release of SBI PO notification. The notification is released online in PDF form and comprises the important details related to the exam.

Release of Application Form: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to apply online for the exam. The application fee is INR 750. The fee is exempted for SC/ST/PWD categories. 

Release of Admit Card: SBI PO admit card is released separately for prelims exam, mains exam, psychometric test, GE and interview. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required credentials. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.

Appearing in the Exam: All registered candidates need to first appear in the prelims exam. Those who qualify the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for psychometric test, GE and interview.

Announcement of Result: SBI PO result is announced online separately for different stages of exam. Candidates can access their results by logging with the required credentials. The scorecard and cut off marks are released few days after the declaration of the result.

SBI PO Salary

SBI offers a good salary package to the candidates selected for the posts of Probationary Officer. The starting basic SBI PO salary is INR  48,480 (With four advance increments). The payscale of SBI PO is 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. Besides, candidates are also entitled to DA, HRA/Lease rental, CCA, Medical, and other allowances & perquisites as per rules. Candidates joining as SBI PO are required to gain practical knowledge of various banking aspects, customer services (which include from printing the passbook to opening account), supervision of clerical work, loan processing, etc. Training for the POs is provided in various fields like Retail (Personal) Banking, Advances, Rural Banking (Agriculture training), etc. during their probation period. After the selection, SBI PO is directly sent to the branch allotted to them. The approximate CTC at initial scale of at Mumbai Centre is INR 18.67 Lakh.

SBI PO Vacancy 2025

SBI PO vacancies 2025 are announced along with the notification. A totak of 541 vacancies were announced for the exam. In 2025, a total of 500 vacancies were announced. The vacancies are released category-wise. Both current and backlog vacancies are released for SBI PO exam. Candidates against the vacancies are selected based on the prelims exam, mains exam, psychometric test, interview and group exercises. SBI PO exam dates 2025 were announced. SBI PO prelims exam was conducted on August 4, 2025. SBI PO Mains exam will be conducted on September 13, 2025. The Phase 3 exam will be conducted in October/November 2025.
