As per the recent notice released by ABVMU, candidates are instructed to pay the college fee only after the academic session commences from August 1, 2025. The CNET 2025 counselling began on June 2, 2025 at the official website, abvmucet25.co.in Candidates are also advised not to deposit the original documents with the colleges before the commencement of the academic session on August 1, 2025. As per the recent updates during the counselling session, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh (ABVMU) noticed that the BSc nursing colleges in UP are forcing candidates to make the final fee payment.

However, candidates are instructed not to make any fee payment other than the one mentioned in the seat matrix. At the time of reporting to the institute, candidates are instructed not to give any additional fee payment to the institute.

Participating institutes have also been directed by ABVMU to follow strict compliance at the time of admission and not to cheat the admission seekers. Otherwise, strict action will be taken against that college/institute and it shall be separated from the counselling process.

Please note that at the time of document verification at the allotted college, the candidate should present all original and valid certificates/documents. But do not submit them with the institute.

Q:   When will the UP CNET 2026 counselling begin?
A:

The CNET BSc nursing counselling for admission to the BSc nursing four-year programme will tentatively begin in June 2026. There will be three rounds of counselling to fill the vacant seats. Candidates will have to participate in the CNET counselling by paying a counselling registration fee. The CNET exam is expected to be held in May 2026, and the results of the BSc nursing exam will be declared almost a week later. Only those candidates who appeared for the entrance exam will be able to participate in the CNET counselling.

Q:   What is the official website for CNET 2025 counselling?
A:

The CNET BSc nursing counselling for admission to BSc nursing four-year programme began on June 2, 2025. There will be three round of counselling to fill the vacant seats. Candidates will have to participate in the CNET counselling by paying a counselling registration fee. The CNET exam was held on May 21, 2025 and the result of the BSc nursing exam was declared on May 26, 2025. Only those candidates who appeared for the entrance exam will be able to participate in the CNET counselling.

Q:   Is it mandatory to participate in ABVMU CNET counselling?
A:

Yes, candidates who have qualified the ABVMU CNET 2025 exam must participate in the counselling process. The BSc nursing college will be allotted on the basis of the seats available in the targeted institute and the rank secured in the entrance exam. Those candidates who did not apply for the counselling will not get admission to the UP CNET nursing participating institutes this year. They will have to appear again for the exam in the upcoming academic session.

CNET 2025 Counselling – How much fee to pay during counselling?

The candidate must only pay the below-mentioned fee during the counselling process:

  1. Counselling Registration Fee of INR 500/- online (Non-Refundable)
  2. Counselling Security Fee of INR 5000/-
  3. Both the above-mentioned fees have to be deposited online through a single payment of INR 5500/- (INR 500 + INR 5000).
  4. An additional Seat Confirmation Fee Deposit Receipt of INR 40000/-

No other fee shall be requested by the institute apart from the fee mentioned above during the counselling process.

CNET 2025 Counselling – Documents Required

The following documents are required to be presented by the candidates for the process of counselling:

  1. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
  2. 5 Passport size, latest color photograph with white background.
  3. Photo ID proof (Aadhar card/Voter ID card/Driving license etc.)
  4. A verification sheet uploaded at the time of filling out the application.
  5. Passing Certificate/Mark sheet/Statement of marks of 12th class (10+2)
  6. Certificate from the Board showing the Date of Birth (Class 10th Passing Certificate).
  7. Medical fitness certificate
  8. Caste Certificates issued ONLY by the competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM) of Uttar Pradesh
  9. Valid EWS certificate issued only on or after 1st April 2025 will be acceptable.
  10. Valid NCC certificate “C certificate with grade B” issued by an authorized battalion in the prescribed format for NCC will be acceptable.
  11. A valid Ex-Servicemen certificate issued by a competent authority will be acceptable.
  12. Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh issued by a competent authority/ or the candidate has passed 10th and 12th intermediate (10+2) BOTH board Examinations from Uttar Pradesh.

Exam pattern of UP CNET 2026 will be released along with official brochure. As per existing exam pattern, exam will be held in offline mode. A total of 120 questions will be there in exam and students will be given 140 minutes to answer them.

The UP CNET exam is an offline exam that is conducted by ABVMU, UP, for admission to the BSc nursing course. It is a pen and paper-based exam wherein candidates will get an OMR sheet to answer the questions within the specified time limit.

To prepare for the UP CNET exam, candidates are expected to practice the mock tests and previous year question papers. There are good preparation books that carry model test papers.

UP CNET valid photo ID proofs, such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, are allowed along with the admit card at the test centre for the purpose of verification. Carry one of these IDs to present at the entry gate.

The UP CNET admit card will be released on the official website. ABVMU will inform candidates about this and will not be sending the hall ticket via email or post. Candidate will have to visit the portal and provide login details to download the PDF document and keep it printout for the exam day.

The UP CNET test centre request for change will not be entertained by ABVMU, the official conducting body. Once allocated on the admit card, the examination centre address will not be altered. Pick and choose the test city carefully at the time of filling the application form.
