State Bank of India (SBI) will conduct the SBI Clerk mains exam tomorrow (November 21). The mains exam of SBI Clerk is conducted for candidates who qualified the prelims exam. The overall difficulty level of the exam is usually moderate to difficult. SBI Clerk mains exam analysis will be provided on this page after the exam. SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk mains exam pattern consists of four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. A total of 190 questions are asked in the exam. The total marks for the test are 200. The duration of the test is 2 hours 40 minutes with sectional timings. The structure of SBI Clerk mains exam pattern is given below:

Candidates must focus on revision for SBI Clerk exam. They must focus on attempting the mock tests. Candidates must know their weaknesses. Practice questions from different topics. The exam is conducted to select candidates for JA post.

Attempt 1 mock test and analyse it

Day 3

Quant: Practice Simplification and Approximation questions and probability questions

Reasoning: Practice coding-decoding

Spend some time on your strong areas

Attempt 1 mock test and analyze your performance.

Day 4

English: Practice para jumbles

Quant: Practice ration proportion and age-related questions.

Reasoning: Practice blood relation questions.

Attempt 1 mock test and analyze properly.

Day 5

English: Practise cloze test

Quant: Start with time and work and partnership

Reasoning: Practice order and ranking questions.

Practice 1 mock test and analyze your performance.

Day 6

Quant: Practice percentage and average questions.

Reasoning: Practice direction distance questions.

Attempt 1 mock test and analyze.

English: Revise grammar rules.

Day 7

Quant: Start time speed distance and mixture and alligations

Reasoning: Practice seating arrangement.

Practice 1 mock.

English: Practice RC

Day 8

Quant: Practice simple interest and CI, pipe, and cistern

Reasoning: Practice Alphanumeric series

Attempt 1-2 mock tests and analyze them properly

English: Practice Error Spotting questions

Day 9

Quant: Practice questions from various types of data interpretation

Reasoning: Practice Puzzles & Seating Arrangement

Attempt 1-2 mock tests and analyse them

Day 10

Devote at least two to three hours to practising wrong questions from each mock test

Solve 1-2 mock tests on a daily basis

Q:   What is the difficulty level of SBI Clerk exam?
A:

The difficulty level of the prelims exam is usually easy. The English and Reasoning sections are easy, whereas, Maths section is easy to moderate. The Mains exam paper is usually moderate. The difficulty level of the English Language section is easy, Quant section is moderate, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude section is moderate and General/Financial Awareness section is moderate. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk carries questions from Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The mains exam of SBI Clerk carries questions from General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for Language Proficiency Test.

Q:   What is the qualifying score in SBI Clerk Mains exam?
A:

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Section wise marks will not be maintained.

Q:   Is there any qualifying score in SBI Clerk exam?
A:

There is no separate qualifying marks besides the category-wise cut off marks. Candidates need to secure the category-wise cut off marks in order to qualify the exam. There is no sectional cut off in SBI Clerk exam. The cut off is decided based on the total marks, number of vacancies, total test takers, etc.

SBI Clerk prelims result 2025 was announced on October 4. The result can be downloaded by logging with the required credentials. Shortlisted candidates will appear for the Mains exam.

The prelims exam was conducted on September 20, 21, 27, 2025. The Mains exam will be conducted on November 15 and 16, 2025.
