CDS 1 exam 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on February 2. Here are few points that candidates should keep in mind before appearing in the exam.

CDS 1 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 2 at 41 cities. Read below a few important points that you should keep in mind before appearing in the exam. 

CDS exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the written exam of CDS 1 on February 2 across 41 cities in the country. The English Language section will be conducted from 9 AM to 11 AM while General Knowledge will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM. The Elementary Mathematics will be conducted on 3 PM to 5 PM.

CDS admit card 2020 was released on January 9. Candidates can download the admit card by logging with either roll number or registration number. The admit card is available to download till the day of exam.

The written test for IMA, INA and AFA comprises three sections, English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics and carries 300 marks. The test for OTA comprises two sections, English and General Knowledge and carries 200 marks. The standard of questions will be of graduation level.

Candidates should remember the following points before appearing in CDS.

Important things to remember for CDS 2020

  • The admit card is an important document, candidates must download and bring it to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • Candidates must check all the details carefully and inform to the examination authority if there are any errors.
  • Entry into the examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination in each session.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the entry gate closes.
  • Candidates need to bring the original copy of one photo identity card.
  • Candidates must bring one black ballpoint pen.
  • Preserve CDS admit card till the declaration of final result.
  • Mobile Phones, Calculators or any other electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam centre.
  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on CDS admit card are required to bring a photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter I Card etc.
  • Such candidates should also bring three passport-size photographs, one for each session.

After qualifying the SSB round, the selected candidates need to undergo a medical examination. A candidate is declared medically fit or unfit after the result announcement. After qualifying all the selection rounds they will go for training.
