After a delay of over 15 days, Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2019 (UPTET 2019) will be finally held tomorrow, January 8. The exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM for candidates appearing for paper-I. The second shift will be held from 2:30-5:00 PM for candidates appearing for paper-II.
With only a day left for the paper, it is important that candidates know what to expect on the UPTET exam day. Therefore, given below are important UPTET exam day instructions and documents that candidates need to carry to the allotted exam centre.

Important UPTET Documents & Things to Carry at the Exam Centre
Documents that candidates must carry to the allotted UPTET exam centre are:
- UPTET admit card: It is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre. Candidates not having their UPTET admit card will not be allowed to give the paper.
- Photo ID proof: Candidates must also carry a valid and original photo ID proof to the test centre. Documents that can be carried as a photo ID proof are:

- Qualifying exam marksheet: Candidates must also carry a photocopy of their qualifying exam marksheet to the test centre. In case not available, candidates should carry a photocopy of the markseet of any semester.
- Two black ball point pens: Since UPTET is an offline exam, candidates must carry at least two ball point pens of black colour to the exam centre. It may be noted that ball point pen of any colour is not allowed.
Things Not to Carry at the UPTET Exam Centre
Things that candidates are not allowed to carry at the UPTET exam centre are:
- Written/printed notes
- Bits of paper
- Calculators
- DocuPens
- Slide rulers
- Log tables
- Electronic devices such as digital watches, mobile phones, pagers
UPTET 2019 Exam Day Instructions
Some of the important instructions that candidates must follow and keep in mind on the exam day are:
- Candidates must reach the allotted test centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam
- Candidates should take their allotted seats at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam
- Candidates should not indulge in any unfair practices at the test centre
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the test centre after the commencement of the exam
- Candidates should mark the answers in UPTET OMR sheet with black point only. Marking answers with any other colour pens or pencil is not allowed
- Candidates should not fold or do any rough work on the OMR sheet
Once the exam gets over tomorrow, UPTET answer key will be released on the official website of the Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh on January 14. Candidates will be able to challenge the provisional answer key by January 17. UPTET final answer key will be out on January 31. Thereafter, UPTET 2019 result will be declared on February 7.
