CUET 2026 Chemistry Question Paper Analysis
National Testing Agency has started conducting CUET Chemistry exam 2026 between May 11 and May 31, 2026, at multiple exam centres, in two shifts. With Chemistry, candidates can get admission to UG programmes like B.Sc. in Chemistry, B.Sc. in Biochemistry, etc. Candidates taking CUET 2026 exam must reach their allotted exam centre at least one hour before the exam begins. The test paper for CUET Chemistry exam will include 50 questions from 10 units, including biomolecules, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and so on. The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer.

Candidates can access the subject-wise CUET UG question papers for past four years.
CUET UG question paper for each subject will consist of 50 questions. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions and no optional questions will be provided. In CUET UG 2026 there are 37 subjects- 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general tests. While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select upto five CUET subjects aligning with the subjects studied in class 12th and course requirement.
Candidates must attempt all the questions of the subjects selected. However, candidates must keep in mind the negative marking and select the options carefully.

CUET UG Language section will include 50 questions. Candidates must attempt all questions. There will be no optional questions.
The language section will check candidate's reading comprehension based on different types of passages. This section will also include questions from grammar. To prepare for the CUET UG language section, candidates must solve previous year question papers and mock tests to become familiar with the type of questions asked in the exam.
NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:
- Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
- Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
- Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
- If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
- If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.
The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. While for the well-prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.
No, class 11th subject syllabus is not included in CUET UG exam. Students who are preparing for CUET 2026 exam must focus on class 12th NCERT curriculum. NTA prescribes the CUET UG syllabus on its official website. Candidates must be familar the detailed syllabus mentioned on the NTA CUET official website- cuet.nta.nic.in. However, for better concepts clarity, candidates may refer to the class 11th resources.
NTA CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled in May/June 2026 tentatively. Candidates preparing for board examinations must prepare well for the CUET exam along.
CUET Chemistry Difficulty Level
According to students' feedback from last year, the overall difficulty level of the Chemistry exam is usually more inclined towards being tough. Students have to remember formulas, tables, reactions, and so on, which sometimes makes it difficult for them to answer questions quickly. Also, solving formula based or application based questions is time-consuming, resulting in less time left to answer the rest of the questions. SRM IST Kattankulathur does mention that its school of Science & Humanities accepts CUET-UG scores for admissions. However, that school has not mentioned anything regarding CUET-UG accepted for any BSc course admissions. Thus, candidates should ask this question from the admission desk.

Jettwings Business School offers BCom and BBA at UG level. The college does not compulsarily require CUET for admitting students. Candidates who meet eligibility are offered merit-based admission. Candidates must fill the application form on time.

No, Bokaro Institute of Medical and Health Sciences admissions do not require CUET. The institute offers merit-based admissions. Students simply have to pass Class 12 with PCM/ PCMB/ PCB and a minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognised board.

No, CUET is not compuslory to take admission in RV University Mysuru. The college offers merit-based admission to most of the progarmmes. Merit is decided based on marks obtained in last qualifying exam.

There is no entrance exam conducted by HNBGU Pauri Campus. The college accepts the scores of CUET. After CUET results, the university releases its own merit list based on CUET scores. Hence, to get admission here, good marks in CUET is essential.
