The candidates should note that the Political Science is one of the most opted subject in the CUET PG exam as per the number of candidates registered and appeared for the exam. The CUET PG exam pattern is the same for each paper. The language of the CUET PG question papers is English and Hindi. For the Language papers, the medium is the same as the paper. The Acharya papers will be conducted in Sanskrit.
CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern
The candidates should note that the Agency had done away with the common section in the CUET PG exam. Now the candidates compete based on their knowledge of the subject only. This made the exam easy and tough at the same time. Easy because the candidates do not need to worry about the General Knowledge part and can concentrate on the subject only.It became hard for the average student who had diversified knowledge and were scoring better in the Common section of aptitude. Now they will be competing solely on their subjective knowledge.There are only 75 Multiple Choice questions in the CUET PG exam and the time allotted to solve the paper is 90 minute. So the candidates have more than a minute to answer the question. The candidate should practive with the previous year question papers to know the CUET PG exam pattern.
CUET PG 2026 Marking Scheme
The candidates should always keep in mind that there is a negative marking of (-1) for each incorrect answer. The correct answer will fetch four marks. This means that each 4 incorrect answers can eat up the marks secured by 1 correct answers. Consequently, the aggregate of four incorrect answers and one correct answer will be Zero and in addition to that the candidates will lose the scoring opportunity in 5 questions out of 75.

As per the CUET PG 2026 exam pattern, there is only one section, carrying 75 questions in total. Hence, the Section B will not be there.
Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted has 300 marks as the total number of questions will be 75.

The agency design the question paper in such a manner that the candidates can solve some of the questions easily, some questions are difficult in orientation and only some candidates can answer such questions.
