CUET PG 2026 Political Science Exam AnalysisCUET PG 2026 Political Science Exam Analysis (Soon): The National Testing Agency is conducting the Common University Entrance Test for the PG courses in various Universities across the nation. The CUET PG 2026 exam is being conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The Agency released the subject-wise exam schedule on February 14 and the advance city intimation slip was released in a phase-wise manner for the candidates. It is available for the exams until March 13.CUET PG 2026 Political Science Exam was conducted today as per the schedule notified by the NTA. The candidates were asked to show their CUET PG 2026 admit card before entering to the exam centre. Apart from NTA, you can also find past question papers of CUET PG on the Shiksha website for free.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern

The candidates should note that the Agency had done away with the common section in the CUET PG exam. Now the candidates compete based on their knowledge of the subject only. This made the exam easy and tough at the same time. Easy because the candidates do not need to worry about the General Knowledge part and can concentrate on the subject only.It became hard for the average student who had diversified knowledge and were scoring better in the Common section of aptitude. Now they will be competing solely on their subjective knowledge.There are only 75 Multiple Choice questions in the CUET PG exam and the time allotted to solve the paper is 90 minute. So the candidates have more than a minute to answer the question. The candidate should practive with the previous year question papers to know the CUET PG exam pattern.

CUET PG 2026 Marking Scheme

The candidates should always keep in mind that there is a negative marking of (-1) for each incorrect answer. The correct answer will fetch four marks. This means that each 4 incorrect answers can eat up the marks secured by 1 correct answers. Consequently, the aggregate of four incorrect answers and one correct answer will be Zero and in addition to that the candidates will lose the scoring opportunity in 5 questions out of 75.

There are a total of 157 subjects in the CUET PG exam. The subjects are segregated into six streams. The table below shows the number of papers in each stream.

The CUET PG exam pattern is the same for each paper. The language of the CUET PG question papers is English and Hindi. For the Language papers, the medium is the same as the paper. The Acharya papers will be conducted in Sanskrit.

The National Testing Agency released the CUET PG 2026 response sheet on its official website on April 11. NTA also released the CUET UG provisional answer key along with the response sheet for students to calculate their estimated NTA CUET PG scores.

Q:   How many questions are asked in Section B of the CUET PG exam?
A: 

As per the CUET PG 2026 exam pattern, there is only one section, carrying 75 questions in total. Hence, the Section B will not be there. 

Q:   What is maximum marks to prepare CUET PG cutoff?

Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted has 300 marks as the total number of questions will be 75. 

Q:   What is a good score in CUET PG exam?

CUET PG Good Score will also enable candidates to strategically allocate time and resources for different subjects based on their difficulty level and weightage. CUET PG 2026 Political Science Expected Cutoff

The agency design the question paper in such a manner that the candidates can solve some of the questions easily, some questions are diffucult in orientation and only some candidates can answer such questions. Few questions are there which only a handful of candidates can answer. As the difficulty level of the CUET PG 2026 exam was moderate, we can expected almost similar cutoff as seen last year.

The CUET PG 2026 result has been released at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The National Testing Agency released the candidates' scorecard and final answer keys with the result.

MBA students who wish to apply for Goel Group of Institutions scholarships through CUET-PG scores will need to secure a rank of 5000 at best.

With a CUET PG score of 110, admission to M.Sc. Mathematics at Delhi University is very unlikely. DU's CUET PG cutoffs for Science courses, including Mathematics, generally range much higher—often above 200–250 marks out of 300 for the General category.

With 59 marks out of 300 in CUET PG 2026 as a General Category student, securing a seat for MA English in top-tier Central Universities like DU, JNU, or BHU is highly unlikely.

CUET PG 2026 Answer Key was released on the official website. The last date to send objections was April 14. Candidates should know that at first, the CUET PG 2026 provisional answer key is released and after considering the objections, the NTA will release the final answer key.

The candidates should note that there will be 157 subjects in the CUET PG application form. The National Testing Agency can add the number of subjects in case the participating Universities add new courses.

The candidates will be able to opt for 20 subjects in one application form.
