How Many Students Appear for CUET? National Testing Agency releases data for how many students registered for CUET UG?. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses offered by participating universities. It is one of the biggest UG entrance examinations which records nearly 14 lakh unique registrations. CUET UG 2025 exam will be held between May 13 and first week of June 2025 in CBT mode. This year, 13,54,699 candidates have applied for CUET 2025 exam.
CUET UG is a crucial step for students aiming for undergraduate programs. But just how many students appear for CUET UG each year? For CUET, the number of students registered were reduced by 1.5 lakh compared last year. The maximum number of registrations were received for CUET English subject. NTA will release information about the number of students who have registered for CUET UG 2025. The number of students registered have increased by a marginal number this year. Candidates can know the number of students who appeared for the exam on the release of the CUET UG 2025 results.

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2026 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

Candidates are advised to check the University where the desired UG course is offered and check the eligibity test to appear for admission to the university. Follow the steps below to check the eligibility test:
Follow the Steps given below:
- Open List of University provided at the official website of NTA CUET UG at cuet.nta.nic.in
- Select the University and Courses where candidate intend to take admission. Visit the official website(s) of the University and check the eligibility criteria for the courses in which candidate wants to take admission (required CUET subjects). This should be noted down for all University(ies) and Courses where candidate wants to take admission.
- Select the required CUET subjects for appearing in exam while filling the application form.
For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :
Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process.
Candidates may be allotted different CUET 2026 exam centres for different dates and slots. However, the city would most likely be the same. Candidates must check the exam centre details carefully in the admit card and appear in the correct CUET centre. Candidates will be issued the CUET intimation slip three to four days prior to the day of examination. On release of the CUET intimation slip, candidates can know the exam centre allotted and can make the preparations for travel accordingly.
Candidates must note that different admit card and intimation slip will be issued for each exam. Candidates cannot re-use the admit card of previous slot or session.

The previous year, NTA recorded a 41% increase in the number of registrations for CUET UG 2023. Out of 16.85 lakh registered candidates, 13.995 lakh candidates submitted the application form along with the payment of the application form. CUET UG 2023 saw an increase of 4 lakh candidates. No, Bapuji Academy of Management & Research (BAMR) is not under CUET. The academy accepts the scores of certain other entrance exams such as, MAT/PGCET/KMAT. Candidates who have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category) can apply for admission.

No, Terna Global Business School is not under CUET. Rather the college accepts scores of various other entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, MAH-CET, etc. Candidates are not required to appear for the CUET exam rather they must appear for any of these exams.

No, Chandola Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is not under CUET. Instead the college accepts the scores of the UPMT exam for admission to the BHMS course. This is the Uttaranchal Pre-Medical Test and is conducted by the State Government of Uttarakhand at different centres.
