The Indian Institute of Mass Communication is one of the premier institutes in India that offers a Master's Course in New Media Communication and other Communication Courses. The candidates can see here the Courses Offered, Eligibility, Cutoff and the like. The IIMC released its admission information brochure on its official website.

The NTA released the CUET PG 2026 result on April 24 on its website. There are 198 participating Educational Institutions in CUET PG 2026 exam. The candidates can see here the admission process of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication through the CUET PG exam.

IIMC Admissions Through CUET PG 2026

The National Testing Agency conducted the Common University Entrance Test (Post Graduate) 2026 exam from March 6 to 30 nationwide. The NTA released the CUET PG 2026 result on April 24. There are 198 participating universities in the CUET PG 2026 exam. These educational institutions will soon start their Counselling Process.

The candidates should note that the CUET PG 2026 Cutoff will be released separately by all the participating institutions for each round of Counselling. The NTA is in the process of sending the information of all the candidates to these institutions so that they can start the CUET PG 2026 Counselling.

About IIMC

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is one of the premier institutions focused on communication methodologies in different fields. It has a Central Government's deemed to be a University status. It was established under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, on August 17, 1965. It was granted a deemed university status on January 31, 2024. Its headquarters is in New Delhi.

PG Degree Courses: Seats offered by IIMC through CUET PG

The Institute released its Admission notice for the 2026-27 year on iimc.gov.in. The institute will soon release the detailed prospectus for admission through the CUET PG 2026 exam. The candidates can see below the courses offered by the IIMC through CUET PG.

  • Up to 10 seats will be reserved for candidates who appeared in CUET-PG with the General-Management subject

    subjects.

There are a total of 200 seats in the PG Degree course. The candidates will be required to give preference to the campuses for the opted course.

Eligibility for IIMC Courses Offered Through CUET PG 2026

The Indian Institute of Media and Communication prescribe the educational and age criteria for its courses. The candidates seeking admission to these courses must fulfil these eligibility conditions as mentioned in the following table.

Reservation Policy in IIMC Seats

The IIMC follows a strict policy of reservation as instructed by the Government of India. The official notification mentions the reservation policy in the following way:

Scheduled Tribes (ST)  7.5 %
Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) 27 %
Economically Weaker Sections(EWS) 10%

Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined by sections 2(v) and (zc) of the Persons with disabilities (PwD) act 2016.

IIMC Admission Through CUET PG 2026

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication releases the information brochure separately for its M.A. courses. The candidates should note that the IIMC 2026 applications will start tentatively in the last week of May 2026. The University mention the admission procedure in its information brochure in the following way.

  • Before applying to the University, the candidates must read and understand all the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
  • All interested candidates must fill the IIMC Application form on its official website -iimc.gov.in
  • The merit list will be prepared based on CUET-PG score (85% weightage) and score in the interview (15% weightage).
  • The candidates are advised to keep the PDF files of all their documents ready before they start the online application or they can saved it in the system for uploading purposes.
  • Email will be the only way of communication, so the candidates are advised to use an active email account and keep space in it so that the University communication shall not bounce.
  • The candidates appearing in their final year or any candidates waiting to clear their back paper (of any year) of the degree course can also apply. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate as per the proforma in Annexure III along with the application form at the time of admission.
  • At the time of admission, the candidate will be required to submit two passport-size photographs, a copy of the IIMC application form, the CUET PG admit card and scorecard, and attested copies of their certificates.

Amity University Ranchi considers CUET-PG scores for admission in MBA. Aspirants must also complete graduation with at least 50% aggregate. However, mere passing CUET-PG won't guarantee admission. Candidates also need to pass English Language Test followed by GDPI for admission in MBA.
