Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to gain access to the official IIT JAM 2026 mock test:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT JAM 2026 

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘'Examination’ tab

Step 3: Look for ‘Mock Test Links’ in the drop-down menu or directly click to- Link will be provided soon

Step 4: Click on the IIT JAM paper/subject

Step 5: Click on the 'Sign In' button (The login details are already filled in)

Step 6: Read the instructions and click on 'Next'

Step 7: Check the box for 'agree to the terms and conditions'

Step 8: Click on 'I am ready to begin'

Candidates can click on the links mentioned below to go through the previous year IIT JAM mock test link to practice and solve the IIT JAM test paper/ subject of their choice. Candidates who wish to attend the mock test must cover the basic level of preparation as per the  IIT JAM 2026 syllabus and then analyse their weak topics and prepare accordingly. Candidates are advised not to use any personal data and to access the mock test using the default login and password.

In the IIT JAM mock test, candidates can view the different sections present in the test, an online calculator, and a table informing them about the number of questions they answered. There is also a timer indicating the time lapsed while solving the mock test. Other elements that form part of the IIT JAM mock test are:

1. Total duration of examination is 180 minutes.
2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit your examination.

4. 1. Click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question directly. Note that using this option does NOT save your answer to the current question.
   2. Click on    Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
   3. Click on    Mark for Review & Next to save your answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.
