The direct admission is provided only on vacant seats at institution or college level. The eligibility criteria for direct admission on seats remaining vacant in the first year after entrance examination counselling shall be such as may be notified from time to time. The general admission process for AKTU BTech course is through entrance exam. The university accepts national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main, CUET, KEAM or IPU CET.

Yes, AKTU accepts CUET score for BTech. AKTU admission to BTech through CUET is for two specialisations:

• Agriculture
• Biotechnology

Apart from these, CUET score is accepted for direct entry to the second-year of BTech course. Candidates can apply for CUET for BTech (LE) admission.

JEE Main is one of the accepting exams for AKTU BTech admission. Looking at the below trend, JEE Main cutoff for BTech course is the highest for Biotechnology. In comparison to 2021, the cutoff saw a declining trend for most of the specialisations. The cutoffs indicate an easy selection process of AKTU affiliated colleges.

AKTU acccepts IPU CET apart from other exams, for admission to BTech courses. The last-round closing ranks for admission were out. To get admission to BTech via IPU CET, the General AI category candidate must have a rank under 151726 for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. For BTech in Information Technology, the rank must be below 154086 among the General AI category. Evidently, it is possible to get admission to for BTech at 150000 rank in IPU CET. 

AKTU JEE Main Cutoff was released for various BTech and other courses. AKTU is a state-level, public collegiate university. Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is a University of National Importance, specially for the UG and PG courses offered in the field of Engineering and Science. AKTU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Coming to the AKTU placements, the university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, as per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2023.

The colleges affiliated to AKTU accepts IPUCET exam for admission to UG and PG courses. The basic criteria to get into AKTU through IPUCET exam is to have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in class 12 and for PG courses, the minimum aggregate 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree. So, if you are securing a percentile of 72 in class 12th, it is more than enough to appear for IPUCET to get into AKTU.
