NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025: Check Category-Wise JEE Main Cutoff

NIT Trichy cutoff 2025 is available here for admission to the B.Tech. and BArch courses at the undergraduate level. The cutoff is released based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling up to six rounds. Additionally, three rounds were conducted by CSAB to fill the vacant seats. During the last admission round, the closing ranks ranged from 1605 to 24515 for BTech admission across multiple specialisations. NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for General AI Category

NIT Trichy JEE Main cutoff 2025 is shown in the table below for BTech and BArch courses. Based on the last round cutoff, the three most competitive BTech branches for admission were Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Among these three specialisations, the lowest cutoff rank was 1605 for CSE. A lower cutoff indicates higher competition, and vice versa. For ECE and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, the JEE Main last round cutoff ranks were 3878 and 6783, respectively.

NIT Trichy BArch cutoff 2025 was 151 in the first round, increasing to 372 in the final round of admission. For detailed cutoff information, refer to the table below. 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for OBC AI Category

For the OBC category students, the NIT Trichy CSE cutoff 2025 was 376 in the first round, while in the last round, the cutoff rank concluded at 2866 under the AII India quota. Likewise, for other BTech specialisations, such as Civil, Chemical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, the maximum cutoff ranks required for admission were 29379, 24847 and 10640, respectively. 

Considering the last round cutoff 2025, CSE stands out as the most sought-after BTech specialisation, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering, with closing ranks of 2866 and 5941, respectively. 

Candidates not eligible for competitive branches had the option to pick less competitive branches, such as Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation and Control Engineering, etc, with JEE Main last round closing ranks of 18476 and 16947, respectively. 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for SC AI Category

Compared with the General and OBC categories, the JEE Main cutoff ranks were less competitive for CSE admission among the students belonging to the SC category under the AII India quota. For admission to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, the first and last round closing ranks were 208 and 13859, respectively.

Unlike the General and OBC categories, B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering was the most competitive branch to secure a seat at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for ST AI Category

Candidates can refer to the table below to view the JEE Main cutoff ranks for the students belonging to the ST category under the AII India quota. For BTech in CSE, the JEE Main cutoff rank closed at 64, indicating high competition among the ST category students, as compared to the above-mentioned categories. For other B.Tech. branches as well, such as Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, etc, the JEE Main cutoff ranks were more competitive for the ST category students for admission.

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for EWS AI Category

Students from the EWS category need to secure a maximum cutoff rank of 30385 for BTech admission. The maximum rank does not guarantee admission to a desired branch, because the cutoff varies for different branches and rounds. The maximum rank indicates whether you are eligible for admission to the BTech course at NIT Trichy. 

To understand it better, candidates can refer to the table given below to view the JEE Main first and last round closing ranks. Here, the round 1 cutoff is comparatively on the lower side as compared to the last round, as the counselling bodies were different for both rounds. Just to clarify, for NITs, JoSAA conducts the counselling up to six rounds. Further, CSAB conducts the counselling for an additional three rounds for all the courses. 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for PWD AI Category

For the PWD category, the JEE Main 2025 cutoff ranks were released for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Production Engineering. 

Considering the last round closing ranks, CSE was the most competitive for admission, followed by ECE and Electrical & Electronics, with closing ranks of 43, 183 and 194, respectively. 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for General HS Category

NIT Trichy General HS category cutoff 2025 for JEE Main was comparatively less competitive for CSE admission. For the HS quota, the CSE cutoff was 4463 in the first round and 4624 in the last round of admission. Similarly, for ECE, the JEE Main first and last round closing ranks were 6947 and 7145, respectively. NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for OBC HS Category

Students can refer to the table given below to view the JEE Main first and last round closing ranks of all the BTech specialisations offered at this institute. For CSE admission, the first round closing rank was 1620, which further increased to 1631 in the final round. With a lenient last round cutoff rank of 9604, B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering emerged as the second-best option for students who were not eligible for CSE admission at NIT Tiruchirappalli. 

Other available options for admission were Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation & Control Engineering, with the last round cutoff ranks of 11516 and 16789, respectively. Check out more details in the table given below: 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for SC HS Category

JEE Main cutoff for the top two B.Tech. branches, including CSE and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, was 1081 and 2084, respectively, in the last round. In the first round, the closing rank for CSE was 713, while for Electrical & Electronics Engineering, it was 1247.

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for ST HS Category

Check out the NIT Trichy branch-wise cutoff 2025 for the students belonging to the ST category under the Home State quota. The maximum cutoff rank required for admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 1781, and for Electronics and Communication Engineering, the required rank was 2670. For admission to the BArch course in 2025, the JEE Main maximum cutoff rank required was 144.

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for EWS HS Category

For the EWS category, the JEE Main first round closing rank for BArch admission was 284, which increased to 4385 in the last round. For BTech admission, the last round closing ranks varied between 44948 and 551598. In the first round, the ranks were in the range of 4720 and 30255. Considering both rounds, CSE turned out to be the toughest specialisation to get admission into. 

For BArch admission, the JEE Main first round cutoff rank was 284. In the last round, the cutoff rank for the same programme was 4385. 

NIT Trichy Cutoff 2025 for PWD HS Category

PWD category students under the Home State quota can refer to the table given below to view the JEE Main cutoff ranks for both first and last rounds. The JEE Main cutoff ranks ranged between 28 and 500 for B.Tech. and BArch courses. Within the BTech course, the most competitive for admission was Computer Science and Engineering.
