BHU Courses & Fees 2026: UG, PG, Doctorate, Certificate Courses

As per BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to UG (5-Year) course was INR 15 LPA. Moreover, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered during 2023 placements stood at INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA, respectively. The score required to take admission at BHU depends on the category you belong to and the course chosen. For the General AI category, the round 3 cutoff ranged from 6 to 260 for different PG-level programmes as per the CUET PG cutoff 2026. So, yes, General AI category students can get admission to this institute with a score of 20.

B.Sc. Agriculture at Banaras Hindu University is actually quite affordable for regular seats at around INR 80,000 for four years. However, it may seem costly if you are looking at paid seats (around INR 2.40 Lacs total), specialised campus fees at the Rajiv Gandhi South Campus.

BHU has become more vibrant and inclusive since the time co-education was introduced in its Faculty of Social Science and Faculty of Arts. While the IIT-BHU still has a more conservative culture, BHU offers its students more freedom and facilities.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is ranked no. 5 under the 'University' category by the NIRF 2024 Rankings. It provides placement support to students. CAT is compulsory for admission to the MBA and MBA IB courses offered by the Institute of Management Studies (formerly known as FMS BHU). Admission to these courses is based on candidates' performance in CAT, GD-PI and past academic records.

However, candidates seeking admission to the MBA courses offered by other departments are not required to take CAT. Admission to these MBA courses is through CUET PG. These courses include MBA in Food & Agribusiness Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Foreign Trade, and MBA in Risk & Insurance.

Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well. 

Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required. 

BHU CUET cutoff 2026 ranged from 52 to 200 for admission to various BEd courses as well as an LLB programme. This is the cutoff range for the OBC AI category. As per this range, the most preferred course for admission was B.Ed. in Languages, with the cutoff being 200.

 Yes, you can get into BHU with a score of 50 if you belong to the General AI category. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for different PG-level courses based on the CUET PG entrance exam.

The only platform of paying the CUET PG application fee is via online mode. So far, the examination conducting body has not mentioned about paying the application fee offline.

The online way of paying the application fee of CUET PG examination is through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the
Candidate.
