BHU MSc Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Cutoff, Seats, Placements

Banaras Hindu University offer MSc course at the PG level. It is available in different specialisations. Candidates must meet the eligibility and selection requirements for admission. Mentioned below are a few course specialisations:

The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system, etc.

BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Students must check the complete schedule for exact dates. CUET applications for the coming year will begin in February and continue till April. 

Yes, the BHU CUET counselling process for both UG and PG courses is carried out in online mode. Candidates have to visit the BHU admission portal to register for the counselling process. The form filling, document upload, and fee payment also has to be done in online mode. Fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking. 

BHU admission to most of the courses is entrance-based, hence it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams to get admission to BHU undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, aspirants need to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

BHU BSc (H) admission is strictly entrance-based. Earlier, admission was through BHU-UET, however, now the students need to take the CUET-UG exam. The tuition fee for MBA at Banaras Hindu University costs around INR 10,200 - INR 2.2 L. The fee differs according to the chosen specialisation. This fee excludes other components like exam fee, hostel fee, security deposit, etc.

NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. Only candidates who score the minimum marks can participate in seat allocation process. The table given below contains the cut off for each category:

The required score would depend on the category, course and round. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for admission to several PG-level courses. The cutoff was out for different AI quota categories. 

For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11 to 250. Hence, students who have a score above 11 could gain admission at BHU in the first round.

 Yes, you can get into BHU with a score of 50 if you belong to the General AI category. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for different PG-level courses based on the CUET PG entrance exam.

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below: 

1. The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
2. Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
3. After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
4. Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.

M.D. cutoff is based on NEET PG scores for admission to the MD and MS courses. As per NEET PG cutoff the Round 1 closing ranks for top courses including MD in Radiodiagnosis closed at 159 and MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy closed at 388 for the General category All India candidates. Also, NEET PG was concluded after the release of the Round 5 Seat Allotment. Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well. 

Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required.
