The University has not disclosed the names of companies that visited the campus in recent drives. As per the external sources, some of the top-notch companies where the alumni are placed are listed below:

Calcutta University offers over ten specialisations in BTech courses, for admission to all specialisations, the university accepts the WBJEE entrance examination except for BTech in Jute and Fibre Technology: For admission into the second year of BTech course
in Jute and Fibre Technology, the candidates should qualify JELET for lateral entry and should have any one of the following degrees: BSc with Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics, BSc in Textile and Clothing/ B.FAD or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ etc. 

Calcutta University as well as University of Engineering & Management Kolkata offer BTech courses across several specialisations. However, some of the specialisations offered in both the universities are different from each other. While Calcutta University offers BTech in Jute and Fibre Technology, Polymer Science and Technology, Radio Physics and Electronics, etc., along with the traditional specialisations such as CSE, ECE, Civil, Mechanical, and others.

UEM Kolkata offers BTech mainly in the traditional specialisations including, Civil, CSE, Electrical, Biotechnology, etc. Candidates can choose the university after drawing a comparison in terms of courses, fees, placements, etc.

Students can avail themselves of a vast number of courses starting from Humanities, Arts, and Sciences to Commerce, Management, Technology, and Engineering from Calcutta University. The courses in these disciplines are available at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, apart from courses available at the doctoral level and thus providing ample opportunities for academic advancement.
