Faculty should start teaching in English.
Placements: The college, though it promises placements, has a very low placement rate. Recruiters offer very low salaries. I think the college cannot keep up with its promise of good placements. The college needs to work on its placement offers. The salary offered is very low, around 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college building needs repairs. The walls have cracks. Classrooms are big, but the benches have become very old and need replacement. The washrooms are very old. I even saw that the clocks in the washrooms were broken. There is no adequate lighting in the classrooms. They have dim lighting.
Faculty: I personally would not praise the faculty there. Teachers, though knowledgeable, do not teach in English. They use the Bengali language to teach, which makes it difficult for students from other states to understand.
Other: The college has a very small campus. The area becomes very crowded during events. Very few fests are held, and to be honest, there is no campus life.

Best college with good infrastructure in Alipore.
Placements: Since this is a regular degree college there are no placements provided to the students. The college offers a regular Bachelor's degree in several fields of Science and Humanities. According to Calcutta University students are provided with internships which they can opt to pursue in the even semesters like 2, 4, or 6th.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure consists of a huge college building and a smaller unit behind the college which forms the canteen and another spare building in the backyard. There is free Wi-Fi all over campus, a separate and a central library. No hostel is available. Good food is served in the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, well-qualified and friendly. Few are gold medalists in their subjects. Good teaching quality in the overall departments. The course curriculum is relevant and sticks to the course. Semester exams are moderate to difficult. Pass percentage is 90-95 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it was also my interest, also because this is a good college for the course with good lab facilities for the subject and on-field experience through slump visits. Nothing to improve in the college, it's good. Sports, annual function, Rabindra Jayanti, and disease-related seminars are conducted.

It provides good infrastructure and a peaceful environment.
Placements: The roles offered in this course are HR and PR. Students in our course have to find internships on their own. The college does not provide direct placements, but it helps students by guiding them in the right direction to get good opportunities. I am still a student in the Communicative English department, so I do not have enough information about average packages or top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: We have full Wi-Fi in our college. The science department has well-equipped labs with essential equipment. Classrooms are comfortable with projectors. Lecture theatres are air-conditioned. The library is large and has a wide variety of books available. The quality of food in the canteen is very good. It is both healthy and budget-friendly.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, helpful, and friendly. They make us feel at home and are highly qualified. The semester exams are not too difficult. They are of a moderate level, depending on preparation.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to gain practical knowledge rather than only bookish knowledge. Our HOD is very supportive. The college encourages students to participate in different co-curricular activities. It helps build confidence and skills. College also organizes various events. The annual sports event is the main attraction.

College life is a hectic but fun life.
Placements: Approximately 70% of students were placed in our course. I could not tell the exact package because I did not get placed, so I do not know about the offered package. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Around 50% of students got internships at these companies.
Infrastructure: In this college, there was a library, a computer lab, and labs for students in other departments. There was also a canteen for students and a playground. My college had a huge auditorium where all occasions and performances were held. The quality of food in the canteen was quite good. Honestly. Every year, they organized annual sports events. They did not have any hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members were very helpful. They were very strict, but in a good way. They did not skip classes and properly taught every subject with equal importance. They were all from a commerce background, so they taught us with patience. They prepared students well before exams. Semester exams were quite difficult, but they prepared us to ace them. The passing percentage was 30%.

Extremely well-maintained reputed college.
Placements: It is a government college. In our English Honours 4-year course we generally get a Bachelor's degree and colleges also offer internships in several private and government corporate sectors with various curricular activities after some days of the training process. Overall there is no such placement-related task our college does at this stage of education but it helps to grow our skills so that at a later stage of life we could make it easy to get a job.Our college is affiliated to Calcutta University.
Infrastructure: We have access to Wi-Fi in the department, and our course does not contain lab works but our college has the facilities for other departments. There is also a common library with proper air conditioning. The quality of food is above average. The quality of the hostel is above average. It is located within a 5-minute walk from the college. Our college plays a crucial role in participating in several sports activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, and they are also well qualified. Their teaching is good enough to acquire the main idea of the topic. The course curriculum is extremely relevant at content writing, journalism sectors, etc. It doesn't make students properly industry-ready but it's an approach of taking steps forward to the goal. The semester exams are partially tough but regular interactions make it easy to get passing marks. The average pass percentage is above 90 percent. We have been given a 4-year course structure. Our department has 4 professors along with two guest lecturers. Overall they are very humble to students in teaching.
Other: I chose this course to engage myself with the literary world. The best thing is that it helps you feel the depth of every possible thing that exists in the world. It gives you a different way of seeing the world with new interpretations. The improvement only needs space. The college atmosphere feels very stressful. So a little more spacious would be preferable.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There are 50 students currently studying in my batch. An internship is provided by the college itself which is mandatory for all. The placements for jobs don't seem to be available as psychology requires an M.Sc. and a Diploma for further career choices.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Currently it is going through renovation to provide better washrooms. Classrooms are neat and open. They are operating air conditioning soon and a library is available too. The gym is available. The canteen food is really good. Good quality food for lower prices. There isn't any hostel accommodation.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They guide you through all your doubts. They are very qualified teachers. It makes students industry-ready if they study regularly instead of expecting the teachers to just give them marks. The exams are pretty good too with proper invigilation.
