Q: Is CUSAT a good college?

CUSAT is an autonomous university owned by the state government. CUSAT has been ranked 34 among the top Universities in India and 51 in the Overall category by NIRF 2024. Cochin University of Science and Technology Kochi is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CUSAT courses include 24 Undergraduate (UG), 55 Postgraduate (PG) and 9 MPhil and 28 PhD programmes in various streams. CUSAT also provides various infrastructural and academic facilities to the students and faculty members of the Institute. CUSAT is spread over an area of 180 acres.

MBA is one of the popular courses of CUSAT. Cochin University is ranked 41 among the top universities in the country as per NIRF 2022 rankings. In 2023 rankings, the university made a position jump to 37. Looking at the placement, CUSAT MBA 2023 placements statistics are also available. The highest and average package offered to the participants of the placement drive stood at INR 20.14 LPA and INR 9.32 LPA, respectively. In addition, four international offers were made.

Talking about curriculum, the two year MBA (Full-time) programme at School of Management Studies offers both core and elective courses. Students also get a chance to take up internship programmes during the summer break after the first year wherein they are mandated to carry out project work in their chosen companies for internship.

CUSAT Admission Process and Important Dates 2025

CUSAT admission 2025 is entrance-based for a majority of its courses. CUSAT entrance exams are CUSAT CAT and CUSAT DAT. Students are required to go through the university-conducted/national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission.
