It's the No. 1 women's college in India, with a NIRF rank of 2. It's a tier 1 college.
Placements: We've 10 seats in my course. No idea of a package related to my course, but if someone does a PhD, then she/ he can be a professor, and that's a very good profession. Rather than the professor, you can go for competitive exams like UPSC, SSC CGL, bank, rail, SSC CHSL, etc.
Infrastructure: My hostel is really beautiful, and the food quality is good, better than the average hostel. There are a doctor's and a psychologist's chamber in my hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and I'm Bangali and my course is also Bengali, so I feel at home when I'm with my faculty. Also, there are a few students, and it is the smallest department in our college, so individuals get extra care from the teachers. There are 4 teachers for Bengal. 3 for the core paper and 1 for the AEC language course. As Bangla is available in our college, Bengali students can choose Bangla as AEC. Unlike the other DU colleges, it's not mandatory to choose Hindi as AEC for the Bangalis.
Other: My future goals are something else, so I chose literature for my graduation. Fest is really amazing. The tempest, and there are a lot of fests in our college.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024
Offered by Maitreyi College, University of Delhi
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Supportive faculty, good placements, and excellent campus life.
Placements: I was a part of the B.Com batch of 2021-2024 at Maitreyi College. The course was very helpful, covering subjects like accounting, finance, taxation, and business law along with practical projects. Around 85% of students from our batch got placed, with the highest package being 12 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, and the average around 5.5 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, EY, KPMG, and ICICI Bank recruited students for roles like accounting executive, finance intern, marketing analyst, and audit trainee. About 90% of us got internships in good companies, which provided great real-world experience.
Infrastructure: Maitreyi College offered good facilities for students. Classrooms were spacious. Labs and the library were modern. Wi-Fi was across the campus. Hostel rooms were clean and comfortable. Mess and canteen hygienic food was provided. Medical help was available on campus. Sports facilities like football, cricket, and indoor games were available. The college had everything needed for study, and a balanced campus life.
Faculty: Teachers at Maitreyi College were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They always ready to clear doubts and guide students. The teaching quality was good, with a balance of theory and practical learning. The course curriculum was relevant. They designed to make students industry-ready by including practical projects, case studies, and internship opportunities. Semester exams were moderately challenging, testing both understanding and application of concepts. The pass percentage was generally high, reflecting good academic support from the faculty.
Other: I chose B.Com at Maitreyi College for a strong foundation in accounting and finance. The best parts were practical learning, helpful teachers, and internship opportunities. I wished there were more industry visits and workshops. The campus was lively, well-connected with fun events, fests, extracurricular activities, and scholarships for deserving students.

Offered by Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi

Good faculty and admin, small but accessible campus, average canteen, mess toilets. Rating is 3/5.
Placements: We do have a placement cell in our college that offers great placements and internships. They respond asap, and you can connect with great companies like KPMG. During fests, there are placement drives too with companies conducting interviews and then placing the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice, unlike other north campus colleges. The infrastructure is modern plus disabled friendly. Canteen is huge with a huge seating area. There is greenery too on the campus but the sports ground is really small. There are some places on the campus to sit and relax for a bit.
Faculty: The political science faculty is really great. They are very helpful and really amazing. Semester exams are average, not too tough and not too easy. The faculty helps a lot by sending materials. The curriculum is relevant obviously, and its a bit tough to find materials online because the syllabus has changed a bit but it's okay.
Other: The crowd is mostly girls because obviously it's a women's college. The fests and events are really great and well organised so it's fun.

College is quite good and average.
Placements: Usually, students don't opt to be placed but still those who want to get placed. College sends its profile to companies, and then you can go and try your luck. In case the number of students demanding placements is high then college calls companies themselves to the campus. As for internships, throughout the whole course the department will organise different certified workshops and internships to help you out.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite rugged in old building but in new building its quite satisfactory. As per cleanliness, both of the academic blocks and the campus are clean. You will have no issue here as for infrastructure reasons. Wi-Fi is available but doesn't work strongly throughout whole campus. Library is one of the biggest of whole DU. We have 3-4 computer labs and 3-4 auditoriums for events and programs with AC.
Faculty: Faculty members are surprisingly quite well compared to other colleges atleast for my course. They are not cranky atleast. They are understandable and considerable in most cases, and will even help you throughout the year and course. They are quite humble and polite.
Other: Teachers and lab assistants are really helpful and sweet if I talk about my course. Crowd is diverse but mostly people come from Haryana. It's absolutely ragging free. Canteen food is average. Our college has ice cream corners and Bru Coffee Point as well followed by vendors selling juices, pav bhaji, and chole kulcha outside. Metro station is within walking distance. Campus is green and really clean. 67 percent attendance criterion is followed, which doesn't pressure students much. This college is one of the best colleges in terms of NCC, and someone who wants to go into defence. Many passouts from this same college hold a great position in army.

It is good, and you can go through.
Placements: There are 120 students in our course but there are also ITEP students in our class who study political science with us. In our course, there is no placement, and we have to find it by ourselves. There are no companies for political science. Some of them got it social welfare society or NGOs but many students applied by themselves for civil service, politicians, and government positions.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure but not up to mark, they can improve. Library is also good. Wi-Fi sometimes connects and sometimes does not. Classroom benches should be replaced. College only has one building. We can make more in the future. We have a decent infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. They help new students in various ways. There are many seminars and programs that train students and build leadership qualities in them. The difficulty of semester exams is also decent. The passing percentage is 67 percent.
Other: I chose this because I wanted to be in the civil sector. There should be good events and be connected to any campus. It can make a large campus.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics - Batch of 2026
Offered by Hindu College, University of Delhi
4.2
3Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Hindu College for Physics enthusiasts.
Placements: In my course, placement rate is negligible. None of my seniors got any placement that I know of. In my course, 20,000 - 30,000 is like minimum but that's only what I have heard of. Mostly people actually go for higher studies so they don't really seek a job immediately. If we pursue M.Sc., then M.Tech, then many technological companies recruit people from my field. There are no companies, but in institutions like CERN. Top roles can be a software engineer but after M.Tech ofcourse, and teaching or people also go for marketing jobs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there. Library is available till 7:00 PM. Classrooms have nice wooden benches. Hostel qualities are good. Food is not bad but not very good. It's average, canteen is average but pricing is nice and affordable. First-aid medical facilities are available. For sports, cricket pitch, basketball court, football ground, volleyball court are available. There is also a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. All of them are qualified, and most of them are helpful. But teaching quality is somehow average and even below average sometimes. Semester exams are average, not very tough. Mostly people get passed, maybe 95 percent of the people pass the semester examination. It's like many of them just study for 1 week.
Other: I chose the course because I love doing Physics but I think teachers do not do justice to the subject. Best thing is that there is a lot of scope for higher studies and very interesting subject. If faculty is better then it would be great, and they kind of don't care. Events are amazing. Fests has been good, just then end till like 5:00 PM. Extracurricular activities are good. Crowd is nice but there are a lot of political inclinations, I feel. Many students come, and then they turn to politics and leave their studies.
