Delhi University BA LLB (Hons) is an integrated 5-year Law program. The course is approved by Bar Council of India. The course is divided into 10 semesters. At present, DU consists of 80+ departments including North & South campuses. It has 77 affiliated colleges and 5 other institutes with an enrollment of more than 1.3 lakhs regular and 2.6 lakhs non-regular students. Some of the colleges under DU are SRCC, Kirori Mal College, LSR, Hansraj College, Hindu College, Gargi, Sri Venkateshwara College and Miranda House among others. Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.
Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.
Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.
- The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
- If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
- Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
- Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
- If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.
Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.
DU cutoff 2026 has been released for BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons) courses based on CLAT score. After the declaration of CUET (UG) results by NTA, the University of Delhi opened a preference-filling phase on its official website. Candidates are required to login on their CSAS (UG) dashboard to choose the courses they are willing to take admission if allocated. Candidates must give their preference for the course + college for every UG course selected by them.
For filling the preferences of course & college combinations in which they are willing to take admission, they must do the following:
- Choose multiple course + college combinations (It is in the best interest of the candidate to fill the maximum number of preferences)
- Take utmost care while selecting the course + college combinations as the order of selection will also determine the preference order.
- Reorder the preferences to prioritize the preference order of course + college combinations
- The submitted preference order will determine the allocation of seat
Candidate must confirm their order of preferences for the course + college combinations by clicking on 'Submit' cutton on/ before the last day of the preference-filling. It is important to note - Editing the course + college combination preference list after the deadline of preference-filling will not be allowed.

The tuition fees of BA LLB (Hons) course at Delhi University is INR 4.3 lakh. DU BA LLB fee may have many components. DU fee for Admission Confirmation needs to be paid on time to secure seat. A virtual wallet is created on paying the admission confirmation fee. If a seat upgrade requires a higher fee, the candidate must pay the difference within the deadline. If the upgraded seat costs less, the amount is auto-debited after University approval.
Withdrawing before the last date of admission grants the applicant full refund of fee with a deduction of INR 5,000. Refunds are initiated after admissions close, processed within three months, and sent back to the original payment source (account/UPI/card).

DU BA LLB admission is done strictly on the basis of the CLAT score only. Candidates can check the guide for DU admission for BA LLB as explained below:
Step 1: DU BA LLB Registration & Application
Candidates must apply online through the official admission portal (https://law.uod.ac.in). Registration through any other mode is not accepted. Candidates can follow the steps given below to register:
- To register as a new user, click on the 'New Registration' link and enter Name & Date of Birth (as per CLAT-2026), Email ID, & Mobile Number.
- Enter the OTP received on registered email/mobile number.
- Log in using login credentials to access the application form.
- Enter CLAT-2026 Registration No., Rank, and Score.
- Upload required documents.
- Review all information using the preview option.
- Click 'Submit and Lock' to confirm details. Once locked, no changes are allowed.
- Select and arrange your preferences for the BA LLB (Hons.).
- Enter the marks for all subjects passed in Class 10 & Class 12. Upload the required School Board qualifying documents.

Step 2: Seat Allocation
DU BA LLB seats are allocated based on eligibility, CLAT score, availability of seats, and preferences provided by the applicants. If a seat is provisionally allocated, the candidate must 'Accept' the allocated seat within the time specified for the given allocation round. A candidate who has been allocated a seat has two options:
- 'Freeze': This will secure the seat of the candidate and he/she will not need to participate in the further seat allocation rounds.
- 'Upgrade': This will allow upgradation to a higher preference submitted by the candidate. Upgradation is subject to Merit, Order of Preference and Availability of seats.
Please Note: When a candidate chooses the 'Upgrade' option but does not get upgraded in the subsequent round/s of seat allocation, his/her admission to the earlier seat will be retained.
After regular allocation rounds, if seats remain vacant, UoD may conduct Spot Admissions which are based on:
- Availability of seats
- Merit
- Order of Preference
- Category

Step 3: Admission Confirmation
For admission confirmation, the selected students need to get the original certificates verified in-person at Faculty of Law within the stipulated time. The following documents are mandatory for admission:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level.
