NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, Indraprastha IIT Delhi ranks #63 under the category 'Engineering'.
The UCEED 2026 Round 1 seat allotment has been released for admission to the BDes course. Selected candidates in this round must pay the seat acceptance fee by Apr 29, 2026 (6 PM), and the seat withdrawal window will be open from Apr 30 to May 11, 2026. Moreover, the UCEED 2025 Round 2 seat allotment result will be out on May 19, 2026.

- The JAC Delhi 2026 counselling registration window for admission to the BTech course will tentatively open in May 2026.
- PG Diploma in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence (Online mode) admissions are open. Candidates can apply for the course through the official institute's website.

As per the NIRF 2024 ranking under the “Engineering” category, IIIT Delhi ranks 85 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. Admission to the IIIT Delhi PhD programmes is merit and entrance-based. Shortlisted candidates have to go through an interview round for final selection. The accepted entrance exams are GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET. Based on the candidates' scores in the accepted exam, the candidates are shortlisted. Candidates with a valid BTech degree or PG Degree in Science/Mathematics/IT/Computers/MCA from a recognised university can apply for admission. It is further also necessary that the candidate passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 65% aggregate for admission to CSE, ECE, and CB MTech courses.

No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level. Aspirants must meet the basic eligibility of passing graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university in addition to clearing the GATE exam. For seat allotment, candidates have to register for the CCMT counselling.
