Great campus life, and you get to work with top professors in varied domains.
Placements: Placements are really good in the EE branch, with opportunities from all the domains, including Core, Development, CSE, Consulting, and Finance, being thrown open to the students, so no dearth of opportunities. For sure 90% of students get placements and internships, and any student should least worry about those things. You get all the top recruiting MNCs here for the interviews. I feel EE is at a bit of a sweet spot compared to CSE in many regards.
Infrastructure: While new residential buildings are coming up, the existing hostel infrastructure is a bit old, so there are some issues in that regard, and students should be mentally prepared for that. Academic infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and a library, is at par with what students should expect from a good college.
Faculty: It may feel like teaching is done in the same way as we go through the schools, since it's mostly the lectures and then you go through the exams (pen and paper), so it may feel like the same pattern but after 3rd year you get many opportunities to be more research oriented and curriculum becomes more project based. Course is enough for students to be industry-ready if they put in enough work.
Other: EE as a department will be much better due to higher batch strength, as well as if people take integrated 5-year course, they do get an extra year to spend on the campus if they like.

IIT Bombay review of campus, course curriculum, and placements.
Placements: In my department, in a dual degree program in electrical engineering, around 98% of students get placed in total as of 2022-23 records, which included tech, core, consult, finance, and other sectors. The highest package is 1.2 crores per annum. The lowest package is 10 LPA. The average package is 27 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Jane Street and HFT firm. In core, top recruiting companies are Qualcomm and Texas Instruments, which hire students in the core sector. The percentage of internships varies, with the number of students and along with the sector they are in, and mainly IT interns at 50% of PPOs around.
Infrastructure: IIT Bombay has a central library and a reading hall for 24x7 studying. It has full AC rooms. Wi-Fi is around the whole campus. The department labs are all high-end technical and clean. Faculty members provide full interest to help us learn devices. In hostels, food varieties are immense and there is a 4 meals per day system. The quality of food is good enough and it may seem different in different hostels. Each hostel has its own canteens, with a few of them only open after night.
Faculty: Professors are super helpful here. In later years, they attach more with students and more in case the students are working under the professor. They have dozens of patents, journals, research papers, and books. Semester exams are easy if we attend all lectures, or else we have to struggle a bit.
Other: I chose this branch, as electrical engineering has immense learning and multiple fields. It is related to my future aim. There is literally nothing much to improve. This course is the best course to provide in the whole country. Fests and events are organised at another level, along with the beautiful campus of 550 acres. It is full of greenery and eco-friendly.

Review of IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: In the realm of student placement, 80% find opportunities within core or non-core sectors. This statistic underscores the diversity of career paths available to students. In the second year, 30 percent of the students got internships. The average package is 30 LPA max and 15 LPA min. The topmost companies are Gail, Tata Steel, Instruments, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the institute, classrooms are quite big and air-conditioned. The library closes at 11 pm and at 5 pm on holidays; however, reading halls are open 24*7. Mess food is really good. New hostels like hostel 15,16 are good, but boys get old hostels which are less spacious. Medical facilities are good enough; we have a hospital near the lecture hall. All kinds of sports facilities are there.
Faculty: Some teachers really teach well, but some do not; they are qualified, though. The course curriculum is medium to tough and relevant in my department. Yes, it does make industry-ready. Some exams are not that difficult, but some are really difficult. The pass percentage is nearly 27 percent.

A dream come true for a normal child.
Placements: Placements are great and good study environment is provided to students of IIT Bombay. Top companies recruit from IIT Bombay. It's really quite good with more than 80% of the students getting placed every year. Every year, IIT Bombay's placement team releases year wise report at (http://placements.iitb.ac.in).
Infrastructure: IIT Bombay has 16 hostels of which 1 to 9 are very old hostels and some rooms are highly congested. Just that I happen to get some really good rooms. Inspite of being smaller in size nobody actually seems to be disappointed as most people prefer to be out of the rooms majority of the time in the institution as there are lot of things to learn and explore which is certainly the best part of IIT BOMBAY.
Faculty: In Short, they are 50+ aged fools continuously torturing with their bad teaching methodologies and arrogant attitude. They don't even bother the industry knowledge which will eventually help the students to excel in their career. They come to the class to vomit and then expect us to do the same on exam day, that's it. Why would any company will give money for doing this course for 4 years of life. That's the reasons, IITs placements are going down for lower branches. It's better to recruit a young guy with decent knowledge than a guy in 50s sucked up with his life and breaking his anger on the students even if he has done Ph.D. or MS in so and so.

Best college in India and dream to be a part of it.
Placements: In the electrical engineering dual degree program, about 98.5% of students were placed in the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 2 CPA by Uber, the lowest was more than 10 LPA, and the average was around 22 LPA. Top recruiters are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Intel.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the hostel rooms are well-equipped with all the basic requirements. Hostels have mess facilities that make delicious food and are also hygienic. There is a canteen in every hostel that is open for long hours at night. Classrooms have air conditioning, projectors, and speakers.
Faculty: Faculty members at IIT Bombay are some of the best in India, with some ranked best in research in India as well. The curriculum is well balanced and includes theory as well as practicals that allow students to understand the course in depth. Exams vary with courses, but they test mostly the practical applications of theory taught in class.

Review of IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements at IIT Bombay are pretty decent. Almost all branches have a 100% placement rate. All of this depends on where you intern in your 3rd-year summer because a lot of students take up the pre-placement offer given by the company they interned at.
Infrastructure: Hostels are pretty old, even after being renovated. The rooms of hostels 5, 6, and 9 are small for double occupancy. The newer hostels are thrice the size of the old ones. Washrooms are not suitable. They keep stinking, with regular pipe damage leaking water everywhere.
Faculty: Most of the studies done by students are on their own. Like in any other engineering college, the research here can be something to look into. The difficulty level of exams depends on professors and the TAs because even a single subject might have different levels of difficulty in different years.
Other: Campus life is good here. The amount of freedom given here is almost overwhelming. After a few homesick days, you will definitely feel at home.

It is the best institute in India.
Placements: In the electrical engineering dual degree program, about 98.5% of students were placed in the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 2 CPA by Uber, the lowest was more than 10 LPA, and the average was around 22 LPA. Top recruiters are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Atomberg, Intel, and Nvidia. In our batch, many students got internships in various fields like IT, software, consulting, finance, data science, data analytics, etc. Jane Street offered Rs. 1500000 per month and Quadeye offered Rs. 600000 per month. Sony, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Flipkart, etc., also provide internships.
Infrastructure: The quality of the mess food is not that good. It totally depends on the catering, and it is different in each college.
Faculty: Exams are difficult. They are moderate or easy sometimes. It totally depends on the professor. Mostly, the questions asked in exams are based on the previous year's papers.

IIT Bombay is so Amazing.
Placements: The best thing about IITB is the placement ratio: almost all the people who study at least decently will get placed if they have some extracurricular activity profile like some projects or internships. As for the highest and the lowest, you obviously know IITs offer a very high package to the deserving. As for this year, it was somewhere around 1.2 crores (a foreign job) and the lowest would be around 5-10 LPA I guess. And as for the internships, I would guess at least 75% of people from my course got internships at 3rd year summers. Out of which, at least 20-25% people have a monthly stipend more than or equal to 1lakh and more than 8-15% people have got foreign high paying internships. We as IITians often get very high posts right from the start, even better than experienced people in the industry sometimes. The companies who take us as interns are also much willing to give us pre-placement offers which give us high paying jobs (sometimes even more than 25-30 LPA base = 50 LPA CTC and so on) right off the bat (without even completing graduation). So as for an overall review, I would say that being in an IIT almost secure your job if you perform decently here.
Infrastructure: Unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi. Just now I downloaded a 42.8 GB software and it took me less than 2 hours to download it (I want even on LAN). Labs are top class equipped with all modern equipments. If you feel something ks missing, ask for it and it will be made available. Classroom are classy, fully air-conditioned and properly ventilated. Our library is the biggest library in college in Asia. Some hostels are not so good in food but others are very good. Good and healthy food is served. Excellent water and electrical supply round the clock. Each hostel has canteens which provide amazing food. Sports and games are very highly supported here too. We have 3-4 full football fields in a single area. An Olympic sized swimming pool, 2 indoors and 2 outdoors lawn-tennis courts, many basketball and cricket courts. All of these are separate. A full building dedicated to indoor sports where you can find Tt, chess, squash, pool, cards, carrom, gym. The list is just endless. You can literally get lost playing all this. Yet don't forget the studies.
Faculty: Professors here are the leading people in their respective field all over India. Needless to say anything more except that they are as good in teaching, as is their unsurmountable experience and knowledge. Yes obviously the courses here are much relevant and make us industry ready. There are even particular courses outside of core curriculum which u can take specifically for that matter. Studying here is no joke. You are made into a professional in your field of study and there isn't a single thing you can explore here.
Other: Best thing about this course is that it is a basis foir each amd every electrical item and electrical items are everywhere. So basically you are employable in all places. That's not all the college is very lineant regarding the courses u take. Except for the core subjects, you can take as many others courses as u can ( even outside your field) Endless list of fests and events (Salsa Night, MOODI, Techfest, no need to say more.
