For admission to the MBA at SJMSOM, the CAT test was conducted on November 30, 2025. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2025 is generally held in three slots:

• Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
• Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

For 2022, cut off was 61 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 305 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

No, it’s not compulsory for regular scholars to stay in the hostel for studying at IIT Bombay. Also, not every student gets a hostel facility. However, students who get enrolled in summer and winter internships have to stay in a hostel during the tenure of their internship. Interns who get the hostel are required to complete the formalities such as registration, payment of internship fees, etc., with the academic office of the institute.

The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. IIT Bombay declared the results of UCEED 2025 on March 7, 2025. The results were announced for all candidates who appeared in the design entrance exam. However, merit ranks were released only for those who qualified Part A and were shortlisted. Part B answer booklets of candidates who failed to qualify Part A were not evaluated. The qualifying marks for Part A were released around the time of the result declaration.
