IIT Delhi MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
The IIT Delhi MTech course is a two-year course that is offered in full-time mode. MTech at IIT Delhi is offered in multiple specialisations including MTech in CSE, Engineering Analysis and Design, Machine Intelligence and Data Science, Cyber Security, Robotics and more. MTech at IIT Delhi is also offered as part of several integrated courses.
The IIT Delhi MTech admissions are entrance based, where the candidates are required to appear for the GATE entrance exam and clear a Personal Interview round. Candidates are also required to comply with the eligibility criteria for MTech admissions as tabulate below:

Yes, some of the hostels of IIT Delhi are air-conditioned. However, non-air-conditioned hostels are also available. The hostels are allotted to the students based on availability. Some lecture theatres are also air-conditioned. Apart from this, some common areas on the campus or hostel also have air conditioning or air coolers.
50 students received domestic offers with package more than INR 1 crore per annum during the IIT Delhi placement drive 2023. Further, the highest international package offered during IIT Delhi placements 2023 stood at INR 2.5 crore per annum.

- For MSc, aspirants need to apply with a valid score of IIT JAM and selected candidates have to further go through CCMN counselling.

IIT Delhi MTech admission is completely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Delhi MTech course must appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10 are exempted from GATE and are eligible for direct admissions. Apart from this, candidates are also requested to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria to be eligible for IIT Delhi MTech admission.

The total number of seats available for MTech programmes is 1568 at IIT Delhi. Some important pointers related to the seat reservation are mentioned below:
- 15% of the seats are for SC category candidates, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC (non-creamy layer), and 10% for EWS.
- In addition, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA (on a point scale) in the qualifying degree is provided to SC, ST, and PD category candidates.

With 98.28 percentile in JEE first attempt, you can get admission branches, such as ECE, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in DTU, NSUT, IITD, and NIT Delhi.
