DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. KGMU accepts admission to most of the Medical courses through a valid score in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance test for admission to the BDS and MBBS programmes in India. KGMU offers admission to MBBS course for a duration to five and half years (66 months). Admission to MBBS courses is entirely entrance-based. In order to get admission to MBBS course at KGMU, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board. Form MBBS admissions, KGMU accepts valid scores of NEET UG, which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. Candidates who qualifiy this exam will be allocated seats as per NEET UG Counselling in various rounds. 

For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD. 

Yes, KGMU offers hostel facilities to its students. Candidates from general category are required to pay INR 48,100 (With Hostel charges) and 43,200 (Without Hostel charges). However, OBC/ SC/ ST category students are required to pay INR 42100 (With Hostel charges) and INR 37200 (Without Hostel charges).

Yes, King George Medical University offers seat reservations as per the Government's reservation policy. The total number of seats available at the BSc course is 190, the seats are reserved for students belonging form SC, ST, OBC, UR and EWS candidates. For admission to three-year PG course of MD at KGMU, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). Further, the final seat allotment to selected candidates is done through a state level counselling process, i.e., UP NEET PG, which is held by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). As per the selection criteria, candidates are selected based on both past academic records and scores of entrance exams. 

KGMU MBBS cutoff 2023 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) was 1970 for EWS and 110746 for PWD category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in NEET UG, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

To take admission to various courses offered at King Georges Medical University, candidates must fill out an online application form which is available on the university website. The application form must be filled out completely. The application can be submitted online only on the official website. Candidates must register themselves by creating a relevant password on the website and Login ID. Once the candidates are registered successfully, they can submit the complete application form along with the exam fees. Candidates need to download the admit card.
