LPU accepts LPUNEST score for admission to MCA and MCA Hons courses. LPUNEST exam is conducted online every year for admission to MCA and other courses. The test is as an Entrance Test and Scholarship Test. Scholarship amount is determined by the marks and rank obtained by students in the exam. The exam duration is 2.5 hours. The test comprises 125 questions of 500 marks. Students also need to complete graduation to get admission to MCA.

Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. However, national-level entrance exam scores are also accepted for admission to BA LLB (Hons), MBA, BTech, etc. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. The selection rounds are followed by counselling and document verification.

The remote proctored exam and test centre exam will begin on April 4, 2026. The remote proctored exam will be conducted till April 20, 2026, and test centre exam will be conducted till April 30, 2026. 

Students can get provisional admission and confirm their seats by paying a nominal fees. The nominal fees is INR 10,000. This applies to all courses and would be adjusted against the programme fees of the semester. MSc Agriculture and MA Hindi/ Punjabi are exempted from this case.
