LPU BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
LPU BTech course duration is four years. It is divided into eight semesters. The university offers BTech in different specialisations and also offers BTech (Hons) in three specialisations. LPU also provide lateral entry to its BTech courses. After Class 12, the students can apply for the preferred BTech course specialisation.

LPU BTech (LE) Admission: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Selection criteria: Merit-based
Eligibility: A pass in a three-year diploma after Class 10 in any stream or a two-year diploma after Class 12 in a non-medical stream and ELR or BSc (non-medical) or BSc Computer Science and ELR with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for BTech (LE) Construction Technology courses. The total fee for BTech is INR 4.5 lakh -INR 16 lakh. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee. Admission to BTech course is based on LPUNEST or CUET UG score. Yes, students can get admission in LPU without LPUNEST if they have scores of other accepted exams. The university conducts LPUNEST as both a scholarship and entrance test. Students can instead submit scores of the following exams as well:
- JEE Mains for BTech admission
- CAT/ XAT/ MAT for MBA admission
- CUET-PG for MSc, MCA, etc.
- GATE for M.Tech admission
- NATA for BArch admission
LPU offers above 300 degree and Diploma courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. It also offers distance learning courses through LPU Distance Education (LPUDE). LPU admission process includes application, selection rounds and result declaration. LPUNEST is the official entrance and scholarship exam. Lovely Professional University accepts other national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main Part 2, NATA, CAT, MAT and XAT for admission to UG and PG programs.
