For LPUNEST 2026, applications are now open with the last date being Jan 15, 2026.
The LPUNEST (remotely proctored exam) will be conducted from Jan 10, 2026 to Feb 5, 2026.The test center-based exam will be held from Jan 20 to Feb 5, 2026.
The NID DAT 2026 (Prelims) exam result will be declared on Feb 17, 2026.
The registration window is now open till January 13, 2026 (without late fee) for M.Des course, and the NIFTEE exam 2026 is scheduled for February 8, 2026.

LPU MDes Eligibility & Highlights 2026

In the field of Architecture and Design, LPU offers a full-time MDes programme for a duration of two years. Master of Design (MDes) programme at LPU is offered in five specialisations as tabulated below along with their specialisation-wise eligibility criteria. LPU admissions to this programme are based on LPUNEST/ CEED/ NIFT Entrance Exam/ NID Entrance Exam scores. The minimum eligibility is as follows:

Specialisation	Eligibility Criteria
Interior and Furniture	At least 50% aggregate in BDes (Interior) or BSc (Interior Design) or BDes (Product and Industrial) or BSc (Product and Industrial) or BArch/ BPlan/ B.Construction Management or BTech (any stream) or allied fields
Product and Industrial	At least 50% aggregate in BDes (Product and Industrial) or BSc (Product and Industrial) or BDes (Interior)/ BArch/ BPlan/ B.Construction Management or BTech (Mechanical or Civil Engineering) or allied fields
Fashion	At least 50% aggregate in BSc (Fashion)/ BDes (Fashion)/ BTech (Fashion) or studied Fashion in graduation or equivalent
Multimedia	At least 50% aggregate in BSc (Multimedia) or BDes (Multimedia) or any graduation degree with Multimedia as a subject or equivalent
Journalism and Film Production	BDes in the relevant stream with an aggregate of 50%

NOTE: There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-east states and Sikkim or defence personnel and their dependents or wards of Kashmiri migrants.

Our college provides faculty members who encourage new ideas and develop the skills of students.

Placements: Companies that were on the list of placements might differ with the percentage of students. Students of the list might vary from the companies list. They also give a chance for the students who are already selected for the other companies.

Infrastructure: The quality of the food served varies from one hostel to another. The food court is a private one, so the taste of the food served is good and better. Cleanliness maintained here is very good. Students have access to the Wi-Fi facility for which every student is provided with a different password.

Faculty: Faculty members of the design course are well-groomed and trained. But some teachers are not well trained, while some became professors and got a diploma and masters certificate due to their explanation skills and creative skills. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are almost ready for the industry.

Other: Our university doesn't focus on earning money, and it is worth it. I chose this course because I want to become an architect.
