Absolutely perfect place to have everything combined available.

Placements: 70-80% of students got placed after M.Tech in Industrial Design. The highest and the lowest package was 11 LPA and 4.5 laps respectively. The students mostly get the role of designing the industrial layout, internal decoration of home/commercial building, etc. 60% get an internship which varies year to year.

Infrastructure: Everything in the hostel is approximately well managed with no Wi-Fi in the hostel but separate LAN connection. Food is just awesome if you prefer somewhat spicy. There are a lot of extracurricular activities so never get bored. You are here not only to study but also to have an overall experience of everything, so the Government has taken care of everything accordingly. You just don't need to worry about anything.

Faculty: This is India's 15th best college, 2nd best NIT after Trichy and has 2nd the largest campus after IIT Kharagpur, so definitely teachers are going to satisfy all your educational expectations. Teachers are PhD either from IITs or from outside India. You can also visit the college official site to see their details. They take care of everything you need to know. Every doubt is welcomed by almost most of the teachers.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology (NITRKL).

Placements: In our batch, 10 out of 14 students were placed, and In our senior batch, 8 out of 14 students were placed in mechanical as well as in the design field. Students have been placed in Maruti Suzuki and Cummins. Overall placement for our college is good. International placements are also conducted in our college.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Facilities like sports, gym, recreational facilities, entertainment hospital, library, canteen, beautiful scenery, playground, central auditorium are available on our campus. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Faculty: Faculty members are awesome here. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated teachers with a huge level of experience and expert in their subjects and fields. They are ready to help students at any time and situation. They clear our doubts whenever we approach them. The course is more related to mechanical than design. There is a good opportunity for research in product design, ergonomics, vibration, robotics.

I am satisfied with the work culture, but I am expecting more from placements.

Placements: In M.Tech. in Industrial Design, few companies visit our college for placements in the previous placement session. It includes companies from different domains like core, IT and consultancy. Around 73% of students from our branch got placed in the previous year, which counts around 18 students.

Infrastructure: It is the college with such a vast campus which is the 2nd the largest campus in India after IITKGP. One of its hostel named Vikram Sarabhai Hall of Residence is the 2nd the largest hostel in Asia with around 1500 rooms. Facilities in laboratories and classrooms are well-equipped.

Faculty: Variety of faculty members are available in the NIT Rourkela. Some teachers give priorities to attendance while others mainly focus on research. There are some talented faculty members who not only teach well but also help students by counselling them. They also give proper direction to excel.
