B.A. LL.B - Batch of 2029
Offered by University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University
4.6

Good campus, average faculty, but strong overall environment.
Placements: More than 60% of the students from every batch get good placements. 26 LPA was the highest, and 7-9 LPA is average, while 4 LPA is the lowest. Companies such as Tata, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Genpact, ICICI Securities, Amul, Reliance, Mother Dairy, Ultra Tech, and many others recruit here. About 60% of the students got internships in the district and high courts as advocates, legal researchers, government lawyers, and judges.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available for all students, facilitating the internet and their skills. There is a well-equipped computer lab with 30 computers in it, and free internet connectivity, including Wi-Fi, to further enhance the research ability of the lab, managed by a team of well-trained and dedicated professionals.
Faculty: Teachers teach with passion. They are very good at teaching and encourage discussion. Most of the teachers are very knowledgeable about their subjects. The curriculum is relevant. They are not difficult if you work seriously. They are easily sold out in one month.
Other: I chose BLLB because I have an interest in knowing about the laws, how they are made, how they function in real life, and how they shape social behaviour. The integrated course gives me knowledge about both legal principles and social science.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2028
Offered by DAV College, Chandigarh

3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good campus and college life, but placement rates are not that good.
Placements: Placements are average, totally depending on students' skills. There are 422 students in the B.Com 1st year. HCL, Wipro, and Infosys are some top companies. Mostly, the students with skills and their communication skills got a good placement in top-notch companies. The top roles of my course B.Com are accountant and manager.
Infrastructure: The average infrastructure is not too good. Some classrooms are so good, but some classes are the worst. The benches in some classes are good, but in some classes they're not. The canteen is good with decent food prices. The sports ground is too big, and there is a cricket ground in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are really chill and helpful in my course, B.Com. They are good and qualified. The quality of education is good in DAV Chandigarh. The mid-semester exams are easy, and the pass percentage is 33 percent. The course is good and interesting. I personally like accounts and economics.
Other: I chose B.Com because I want to become a CA, and for CA, B.Com is the best degree to do because the syllabus is almost the same, and I have chosen this college because it's a good and reputable college in our city, Chandigarh. One main thing is that the fests and events are good in this college.

I am satisfied because the infrastructure is good, and campus life at SD College is also good.
Placements: Placements are average in SD college only 20 to 30% of the students got placed in our college. The highest package offered is 11 LPA and average package is 4 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA top recruiting companies are TCS infosys wipro etc. About 20 to 30% of the students get internship from BCA course .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course and hostels is very good at SD College. All the labs are fully AC centralised, even the classrooms too, and the food available in the mess and canteens of both hostels (boys and girls) is good. Medical facilities are also provided if any disease occurs to a student.
Faculty: The faculty of SD College is good, but not the best, and the course curriculum is not fully relevant, making the student half-industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, but the checking done is too tight, and the pass percentage is also low; like in MST, a student must score 25% of the total percentage of all subjects.

S.C.D. Government College: pay less learn more.
Placements: My course started with 67 students. The highest package for my course was 5 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA. Almost all the students got internships. Only a few of them were able to get paid internships. Roles such as professor and assistant professor were offered for our course.
Infrastructure: The college offers proper facilities for the students who choose to live in their hostels. The entire campus is furnished with Wi-Fi and has projects in a tiered classroom. Both the college and the hostel have a library of their own. The library at the hostel is open 24/7 for students to study.
Faculty: The faculty is very nice and is always willing to help you with your queries and problems. All the teachers have PhDs and are qualified enough. The curriculum is great, and it makes you industry-ready. Almost 95% of students pass the semester exams easily.
Other: This course allowed me to gain knowledge and become a professor to teach at any college I wish. The course could focus more on the Science side. The college is famous for its events and fests.

First Semester: Promising start; Room for growth.
Placements: I have seen in the brochure and also heard from many people that many students got good placements even during their course. Many companies like Deloitte visit our college. 60% of the students got internships in good companies. The highest salary package is 25 LPA.
Infrastructure: I am not sure about the hostels as I am not a hosteler, but I heard from students that the rooms and the washrooms are maintained very well. The labs are equipped with the latest software and technology. The classrooms have the material that is required by the teachers to teach.
Faculty: The faculty quality varies, so it is difficult to explain this. If we see exams, they are challenging but fair, though frequent. The curriculum is standard with a mix of both theory and practical. The curriculum was mostly relevant and up to date. Most teachers were helpful and approachable.
Other: The best part of any course is learning new things and meeting new people. I wish there were more guidance on how to choose courses and plan for the future. Also, more practical experience would be great.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure not satisfied with placement opportunities.
Placements: In B.Sc there are no placements only M.Sc. students get a chance to sit in placements. The highest package is 7LPA. Placement opportunities for B.Sc. hons students are limited. There are sole internship opportunities that come every year but they do not pay that well.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in whole chemistry department but it works very slowly. When it comes to AC B.Sc. labs have no air conditioning but all classes are air conditioned. Some of the M.Sc. labs are also air conditioned. The department library is very good. Most of the books related to Chemistry research are available there and it is also air conditioned. Timing is 9 to 5.
Faculty: All facilities are very experienced in doing their own research work and teaching at the same time. Teaching methodology is also good. Most of the teachers curriculum is decided by teachers which is also very good but students can understand all concepts in Chemistry with each passing semester.
Other: Chemistry is like everything. I chose Punjab University because my sister recommended it to me and when I came to know about honours school system I made up my mind that I am going to study at Punjab University. There are a lot of fest in Punjab and most of the Punjabi Bollywood singers came here in February.
