PUMDET 2026: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) have released no official announcement about getting into PUMDET 2026 exam. PUMDET exam usually happens in July. Since no schedule or application form is currently available, this year's event is unlikely to be held. 

WBJEEB conducts PUMDET or Presidency University Master's Degree Entrance Test, yearly for MA and MSc seats at Presidency University. You should check their main website, wbjeeb.nic.in/pumdet/.
PUMDET application form is expected to be out by June 2026. Candidates who qualify for the PUMDET 2026 eligibility criteria can fill out the application form once it is released. PUMDET is held by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to select students for MA and MSc courses at Presidency University, Kolkata. Academic Qualification

  • Have cleared (not before 2020) or appeared for the BA (Hons) examination in 2026 from any recognized University.
  • Have appeared for the BA (Hons) exam and should have their final results at the time of counselling and produce their original mark sheets/grade cards of all semester/annual examinations passed at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidates must fulfil the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission.
  • Have appeared for their final BA (Hons) examination, but their final results have not been declared at the time of counselling, such candidates shall be given provisional admission on the basis of the production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level. However, candidates are supposed to submit their final mark sheet by the mentioned date to ensure that they fulfil their minimum eligibility criteria for admission.
  • Must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/CGPA in honours/major subject as per the following table in their BA (Hons) examination for final and confirmed admission.

Applicants will be allotted PUMDET exam centres based on the choices they have entered while filling out application form. PUMDET exam pattern is very simple. The exams consist of multiple-choice questions. The questions appear with four options. Only one of four options is correct. The total number of questions asked in one paper is 50. For every correct answer, there are marks. The total marks for the entire exam is 100. The students are expected to answer all questions. The total time allotted for completion of exams is 90 minutes. Giving too much time to one question is not good. Practice is necessary before exams.
