Review of SASTRA (Deemed to be University).
Placements: More than 90% of students got placed. The packages offered range from 4 LPA to 42 LPA (Wells Fargo). The atmosphere is liberal, and it's totally based on the student's resume to get placed. Faculty members are knowledgeable, and the research hub of Sastra offers lab facilities and helps you with research. It is the best part of this college which offers all kinds of labs for research. Internships are frequently offered from your 3rd year, for which you can apply if interested. Google visits the college every two years and selects students. Various tech giants visit the college for placements. 6.5 and above CGPA ensures that you get placed for sure. EEE smart grid and electric vehicle are the newest courses with good syllabi. More interesting and top roles offered are electric vehicle designer, machines engineer, battery management engineer, electrical engineer, power electronics specialist etc.
Infrastructure: The college has labs like cancer research lab, labs in partnership with TATA, renewable energy labs, electric vehicle simulation lab, plant culture lab, and more fascinating labs. The library here is amazing with Lacs of books and the best ambiance. Free Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. Only vegetarian food items are available inside the campus with decent taste. The hostel can be rated 4 out of 5, and it's good enough to stay peacefully. The university has a hospital with all the facilities. Colosseum (sports event), Daksh (technical and games event), and Kurukshetra (cultural event), are conducted here. Every classroom has a projector and screen. Wi-Fi routers and laptops are allowed during class times.
Faculty: All the faculty members guide you through your whole 4 years of research and various activities. This college offers various club activities and encourages students with more extracurricular activities. They will teach from the exam point of view. To gain in-depth subject knowledge, you must learn from the first year. The syllabus itself is designed such that learning all those topics will give you enough idea and knowledge provided you are interested in it. Semester exams can be rated 4 out of 5 in terms of difficulty. Around 60% of students pass the exams. The rest of the students get arrears. Enough study time is provided. All the decisions made by the university are for students' welfare and are understandable.
Other: Campus life is awesome, peaceful and enjoyable. Fests are the best part of this college. The best fests like Kurukshastra, Colosseum and Daksh are famous among the south Indian universities and also known up to the Northern part of India. The campus is over 232 acres. Mobile data connectivity is average. The best thing about my course is the project guidance given by faculty members and curriculum design. Electives and core courses are well designed for us to gain good knowledge of the subject. Learning experience here is amazing.

Absolutely satisfied In the case of studies but not in events, clubs etc. Cultural activities.
Placements: Nearly 75-80% students are placed even in Covid era where all colleges suffered in placements coming to the packages by the year 2024 by super senior batch the highest was 46LPA and least was 3.5LPA and average varies from 7.92-8.5 LPA and the behalf of recruiting companies top were TCL, amazon, HCLetc nearly a 35% of students got internship top roles are power and supply engineer etc.
Infrastructure: Out all you mentioned things there are only two things to worry they are food (in the case of taste only) but it's hygeine and somewhat Wi-Fi issues remaining all are good here infrastructure is awesome both academic and hostel coming to sports all types of grounds Are available football, cricket etc. Many.
Faculty: Let me first discuss there is no doubt at all the professors teaching they are well qualified recently a professor got award from central government for teaching the teaching quality is good projectors, lab facilities for practical knowledge all are good the semester papers are concept oriented in that topics they taught but if you are not aware of that the paper will be hard.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements and very good atmosphere for research
Placements: Around 70–80% of students from my course got placed during campus placements, the highest package offered is around 35 LPA, the average package lies in the range of 6–9 LPA, and the lowest package is usually around 3 LPA. Many top companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Deloitte, Bosch, and Amazon visited for placements, a good percentage of students also secured internships in reputed organizations such as Zoho, Tata Elxsi, and research-based companies, which later converted into full-time offers for some.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious and well-equipped, labs have the necessary equipment, and the library is one of the largest in South India, with access to journals, e-resources, and study space, Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, though the speed may fluctuate at times. For hostels, the rooms are decent and maintained regularly, and the mess provides both South Indian and North Indian options. Food quality is average but manageable, there are medical facilities, a hospital inside the campus, and good sports facilities like an indoor stadium, playgrounds, and a gym.
Faculty: The faculty at SASTRA are well-qualified, with many holding PhDs and research experience, most of them are approachable and supportive in clarifying doubts. The curriculum is updated regularly to match industry requirements, with electives, open electives, and value-added courses that give flexibility to students. Apart from theory, there is a good emphasis on practical labs, projects, and research opportunities, the exam structure is slightly rigorous, each semester has Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) in the form of assignments, quizzes, and mid-semester tests, followed by an end-of-semester exam.
