According to NIRF report 2023, 164 BTech, 11 MTech, 68 MBA, 4 Integrated MBA and 13 BArch students were placed during SMVDU placements 2022. The median package offered to BTech and M.Tech students stood at INR 4.6 LPA and INR 4.01 LPA.The placements at the college are overall good and the students have good reviews about the placements.

The selection criteria for B.Tech. In Computer Science and Engineering change each year based on the cutoff percentiles in the JEE Mains examination and the number of seats available. The criteria may also vary for selection through the CUET examination. If we take an average, then the cutoff for computer Science is CRL 1 Lacs (approximately 90-95 percentiles).. .

SMVDU admissions to BTech and BArch courses is based on JEE Main cutoff 2023 for several specialisations. Tabulated below are the last round closing ranks for SMVDU: 

Candidates who finally get the final admission to BSc Hons at SMVDU are also required to attach the documents required by the admissions committee of the University and send to the concerned Admission Committee’s email id. The list of following documents have been mentioned below required for SMVDU BSc Hons admissions:

• Score Card of CUET UG 
• Class 10 marksheet 
• Class 12 marksheet 
• Category Certificate (if required) 

SMVDU admission process are both entrance and merit-based followed by counselling. SMVDU accepts the admission on the basis of CUET exam for most of the UG & PG courses.  For few courses such as BTech, MBA, M.Tech admission are based on JEE/CAT/MAT/GATE/CCMT. 

After pursuing BSc Hons from SMVDU, a number of career paths get open for such students. Students with a comprehension of the principles in the relevant areas of the BSc Hons programme have numerous job opportunities, including teaching, research analysis, data scientist, agriculture officer, forest officer, biochemist, among many others.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers BTech across five specialisations. Hence, candidate with a rank of 1,35,000 in JEE Main can get a seat at SMVDU in all the specialisations except for BTech CSE as per the last year cutoff. 

Candidates who wish to take admission to the BSc Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for an entrance examination. The University and its affiliated colleges accepts the scores of CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BSc Hons course admission.
