UGPET (Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test), formerly known as LUGMAT, is conducted by Lucknow University every year. UGPET aids the admission process for BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (MS), BBA (Tourism) and BCom (Hons) programmes at the University of Lucknow. UGPET exam tests knowledge of the aspirants across sections, including analytical, logical and communications skills as well as corporate and general knowledge via 100 objective-type questions. It is conducted in pen and paper mode and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Candidates aspiring for admission through UGPET 2026 will have to fill the application cum exam form. Lucknow University releases the UGPET application form in an online mode only. The application process shall require the candidates to fill in personal as well as academic details

The registration fee is as follows for BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (MS), BBA (Tourism).

• For candidates belonging to the General and OBC category: INR 1,000 (INR 2,000 with late fee)
• For candidates belonging to SC and ST: INR 500 (INR 1,500 with late fee)

UGPET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check and fulfil the eligibility before applying for UGPET 2026. Ineligible candidates filling the UGPET application form will lose their candidature. UGPET eligibility is tabulated below:

Registered candidates will be able to download their UGPET 2026 admit card as soon as it releases. Admit cards for UGPET 2026 will be made available on the official website of Lucknow University, lkouniv.ac.in. Candidates will have to provide their login credentials, including the registration number and password or date of birth, to download the UGPET 2026 admit card. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the UGPET hall ticket on the exam date. Officials will deny entry to the examination hall if they fail to carry the UGPET admit card.

The UGPET question paper consists of 100 questions and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Candidates are required to answer objective type questions. The UGPET syllabus includes topics from Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Ability, Logical Ability and Reasoning, Corporate Awareness, General Knowledge and English Language.

UGPET result are declared online on the official website of Lucknow University. The varsity releases the UGPET 2026 results in the form of a merit list. Candidates need to appear for the counselling rounds based on their merit ranks. Test-takers can also visit the official website to view and download their scorecards. UGPET scorecards are required during the counselling process.

After the declaration of the result, shortlisted candidates are required to attend the UGPET counselling round for the final selection of candidates for the BBA/BCom programmes. Counselling fees for admission based on UGPET is INR 1,200.
