VIT Vellore MCA Courses & Fees 2026: Admission Dates & Eligibility

Yes, students can get really good placements at VIT Vellore. According to the report,  the highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2026 was INR 1 Crore per Annum. This is the 4th consecutive year wherein more than 10,000 offers were made. 696 Marquee offers above INR 20 LPA were made in 2026. With a rank of 75,000 it is not possible to get admission in VIT Vellore. Especially the core branches, such as CSE. The cutoff generally goes very high for VIT Vellore. However, with this rank, students may try applying for other VIT Campuses.

VIT Vellore is a private institute. The total fee for BTech course is INR 6.9 Lacs - 8.3 Lakh. For MTech, the fee ranges around INR 3 lakh- 6.4 lakh. The fee for MBA is INR 7 lakh. VIT Vellore can be consider more on the expensive side. However, the institute also offers a number of scholarship opportunities to the deserving students.

The institute shortlists candidates for MBA course based on national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, NMAT or ATMA. The shortlisted aspirants are further required to come for the PI round. Vellore Institute of Technology will also consider the academic performance and work experience of the candidates for final selection. Candidates who have passed regular, full-time UG/ Integrated degree from a recognised institute/ university of at least three years of duration with a minimum of 60% aggregate (50% for SC/ ST candidates and applicants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) can apply for the MBA course. VIT Velloreadmission 2026 is currently open for various courses. The application process at VIT Vellore is conducted online or offline. Students can check the list of documents required for admission below:

• Copy of age proof certificate/ copy of Aadhaar Card
• Copy of Class 12 marksheet
• Copy of Community Certificate (for SC/ ST applicants)

A pass in bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in BCA/ BSc (IT/ Computer Science) with Mathematics as a mandatory subject at Class 12/ graduation level and a minimum of 60% aggregate or first class in the qualifying exam is required to apply for VIT Vellore MCA course. Candidates appearing for their final degree exam/ final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.

VIT University offers a full-time MCA via School of Information Technology & Engineering (SITE). The duration of the programme is two years. The Deemed University, every year, conducts Vellore Institute of Technology Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) to offer admission to the MCA programme. VITMEE is a computer-based test that is held offline at several centres across the country. Final admission is subject to a personal interview (PI) round of the shortlisted candidates.

VIT Vellore MBA admission process will require following documents during application stage:

• Class 10th and Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet

The Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the VITMEE exam dates on the official website. VITMEE exam was scheduled for April 28, 2026 and May 3, 2026. Applicants had to carry their VITMEE admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre. 

Yes, candidates who are in final year of their UG level course can still apply for MBA admission at VIT Vellore. However, such candidates must receive their final result by second weekof August after admissions are closed. If results are not provided by then, a candidate's admission will be cancelled.

According to reviews on Shiksha (Krishna Agarwal,  B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2029), the placements are more than 90 percent. The internship percentage is also more than 90 percent. Top recruiting companies offering are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Visa, etc. Wi-Fi is available in the library and every hostel block, with a pretty good internet speed. There are very clean washrooms and there is no crowd in the washrooms in the morning or during peak hours, too. Faculty members are well educated and do fair checking of exams. 

The official VITEEE 2026 dates will be released soon. The schedule should be checked regularly so that the students can be updated with the important examination and admission events. If any date is changed or postponed, the authorities will announce it online. Therefore, the candidates are advised to remain updated with the VIT 2026 schedule at the official website.

Candidates will be able to access their VITEEE result online at vit.ac.in. To download the VITEEE result, the candidates will have to log in using their application number and password. The authorities will not use any other mode to release the VIT result. Important details such as the scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination will be available behind the admission portal.
