Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale from a recognised university is the basic eligibility for PhD in Management offered at VIT Business School. Candidates with CA/ ICWA or equivalent qualification can also apply.

VIT Vellore has started with the application process for the VITREE exam. Students aspiring to take admission to the VIT Business School PhD programme can apply for the exam. As per the schedule available on the institute's official website, the VITREE exam is scheduled to be held from 20 Apr, 2025 to 24 Apr, 2025.

The total tuition fee for VIT Vellore BTech ranges between INR 4.9 lakh and 7.8 lakh. The total course fee, includes a caution deposit of INR 3,000 as well. The fee will vary as per the specialisation selected by the candidates. BTech is available in 24 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode. The application fee is INR 1350. 

The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round. 

IIT is a public/government university. Whereas, VIT is a private university. Therefore there is difference in the fee for various courses and the education structure as well. IIT is best in offering Engineering courses to students when talking about the government university. VIT Business School accepts CAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ CMAT and ATMA scores for admission to the MBA course. As per VIT Business School cutoff 2024, XAT percentile was 70 and for MAT, it was 80 for the General All India category student.
